Knicks were seriously hobbled and still only lost by 5. Kudos to Rick Carlisle for assigning Aaron Nesmith to guard Brunson; that proved to be a great adjustment and diminished his near superhuman score sheet last night. Now they need someone else to simultaneously chill DiVincenzo. This series seems to prove the maxim that you can't win a playoff series without really solid D, and I don't see how the Pacers win this unless they take a major step forward in this area, even with all the Knicks injuries.

Literally too many cheating ref calls to mention but here’s a few: Divincenzo getting Cleary smacked across the forearm on a fast break down the stretch, the fake flagrant on Burks which they said was because of him being "defenseless in the air" yet they did it to McBride later in the game with no call, the charge they called on Brunson when the Pacer clearly had his feet on the restricted area and was still moving, yet later in the game Brunson was clearly outside the area and got called for a blocking foul, the one where Mcbride slightly bumped Haliburton after a Pacer bumped him in the back and even the announcers called it out as nothing yet Bruson is hit way hard than that coming up the floor nearly every possession. Those are just a FEW of the top of my head.

Also you still had OG and Brunson nonetheless and while the Pacers are for the most part, completely healthy… we are missing a very talented/young piece of team in Bennedict Mathurin. I know, right? Refs have favored NY this whole series, including this game. But Knicks fans are used to getting _every_ call, along with a bunch of phantom calls, and having the game gifted to them outright. The one game that didn't happen, they cry that they were cheated. Two of the most egregious no-calls for Knicks: 1) one play in the second quarter, Brunson has the ball, Nemhard defending, fakes, fakes, turns, changes his pivot foot, and then -- _without putting the ball on the floor_ -- travels at least four steps, bulls Andrew over, and scores. Refs count the goal and call the foul on Andrew. (shown in this clip at 9:33) Might have been the worst wrong call of the year. 2) Another play, DiVinchenzo is clearly standing out of bounds when he "saves" the ball back into play. Refs, watching, shrug, say, play on. NY soon after did lose the ball out of bounds on that possession. But come on. But no, Brunson didn't get all his flop fouls this game, a missed goaltending call on a bang-bang play (no matter Nesmith had a goaltended shot just like it in Game 2 that also wasn't called), a blocking foul on Brunson that was returned with a questionable offensive foul on Siakim the next possession. And Hart finally got called for traveling (once). So the Knicks, favored by the league and the refs the whole playoffs (ask the Sixers) are now claiming foul. Cry me a river.
