I knew the tip about the turns just by feel, but I didn't know about the speed advantage when not eating dots. Very cool!

I need to pass the first 8 rounds of pacman from that pacman world game in order to get a platinum on my ps5. So thanks for this. I had given up and I didn't look for this but maybe that's a sign to try again. So thank you my good man.

Going through the tunnels helps, too.

The Championship Edition makes this an actual mechanic, showing sparks when you lead a turn.

Also, Pac-Man is faster on corners, typically the ghosts catch him easier on straightaways. Make turns whenever possible!

I'll be building one in Denver (Littleton) next year. Should include big screen tournaments, black light indoor putt putt, and space for parties and events. Look for it!

I always thought that turn one was a placebo. Pretty neat stuff!

Also: pac-man can turn corners faster than the ghosts. If you can’t shake them, take several turns.

In Pac-Man, I already knew that eating dots slowed you down, but didn't realize there was a slight frame advantage from turning before hitting the turns, I just tried to anyhow, because if you miss a turn...you're @!#?...as Q-Bert would say.

I'm surprised you didn't mention that going through the tunnel slows the ghosts down if they're following you through it.

@@GenXGrownUp I've seen hacked arcade Ms. Pac-Man machines that speed up Ms Pac-Man by quite a bit. Makes it a little _too_ easy if you ask me. I think I've seen regular Pac-Man machines with this hack too, but I'm not 100% sure.

i remember the pac man mobile game telling me that he goes faster when he is eating dots, i probably read it wrong like the dumbass i am lmao

I had no way of proving that you went faster by using that one frame joystick trick, now I know I ain’t crazy! I didn’t know about the not eating dots one though.

I always wondered why ghosts seemed faster at times and it was because I kept eating.

I have this Pacman and Ms Pac Man from Numskull....i could have sworn the Ms Pac Man was faster in the arcade as a kid. I wish they had a speed option put on.

You're probably not wrong. There was a speed-up mod for Ms. Pac that was quite common in arcades. You may be remembering that.

Or you can just use the Konami Code for a super secret speed boost
