Pac-Man: Adventures in Time - Quest Longplay! (2000)

Using their Namco licence, Hasbro Interactive made Pac-Man: Adventures in Time, a Pac-Man game for the PC. The game features five worlds (or time-periods), over forty 3D mazes (or levels), and Internet play.
As in the original Pac-Man arcade game, the basic objective of each level is to guide Pac-Man through a maze while eating dots, unique food items, and power pellets that make Pac-Man's enemies, the Ghosts, edible for a limited time. The ability to jump returns from Pac-Mania for bypassing hazards and avoiding enemies. Some levels contain obstacles such as deadly boulders, animals who delay or kill Pac-Man, and explosive projectiles. After every few rounds there is a bonus mini-game in which the player can obtain some extra points (with every 50,000 points earning Pac-Man an extra life). The levels also feature a variety of shapes and architectural features such as cylindrical mazes, canopies, bridges, pyramids, and even walls that allow Pac-Man to walk vertically. The game features more sophisticated events than its arcade predecessor, such as collecting a certain number of pellets to unlock another area of a maze. The game also includes the ability to see the short intermission videos that come before a new level and allow for an option of non-storyline play on specific levels. The game also has the ability to connect over the Internet for multiplayer mini-games.
In the introductory scene, under orders from the villainous Mollusc, Ghosts Inky and Clyde steal a magical power pellet known as the Artifact that has kept Pac-Land free from evil. The Mollusc smashes the Artifact and in a mighty explosion of power, its four fragmented pieces are scattered across time and space. The player's challenge as Pac-Man is to retrieve the Artifact's four pieces from the now ghost-infested time periods and return them to the present. Professor Pac-Man prepares an unpredictable, hastily constructed Time Machine to help Pac-Man on his quest.
Pac-Man initially travels through four different time-periods, including prehistoric times, Ancient Egypt, the Middle Ages, and the Wild West. Although the Time Machine sometimes malfunctions, sending Pac-Man to an unexpected place and time, he is eventually able to obtain in each era one of the four pieces of the Artifact. Afterwards, the Time Machine malfunctions again before Pac-Man can return to the present, instead bringing him to a fifth time-period: the future. Professor Pac-Man claims that an alternate power source is needed to bring him home from the future. In this fifth time-period, Pac-Man finally comes to the Reactor Core and is able to harness its energy to be finally transported, with the Artifact reassembled, to the second after the Mollusc broke the Artifact in the game's introduction scene. Aiming the now-repaired Artifact at the Mollusc, Pac-Man fires a beam of light at his foe, vaporizing the Mollusc and grinning triumphantly.
These are the following time periods that Pac-Man goes to:
- Prehistoric - This era features the Ghosts as Cavemen, Cannibals, Dinosaurs, Fire Monsters, and Birds.
- Ancient Egypt - This era features the Ghosts as Thieves, Merchants, Jackals, Egyptian Guards, High Priests and Egyptian Gods. Some levels have cobras that will strike Pac-Man.
- Middle Ages - This era features the Ghosts as Peasants, Living Mushrooms, Knights, Dragonoids, Jesters, and Skeletons. One level has a sleeping dragon that will attack once it wakes up.
- Wild West - This era features the Ghosts as Outlaws, Conductors, and Miners. Some levels have rattlesnakes that will strike Pac-Man when they are awake.
- Future - This era features the Ghosts as Robots, Scientists and Aliens.
In some of these Pac-Man: Adventures in Time videos the graphics seems to be glitching for a short period. I'm sorry for that. You have to keep in mind that this game is very outdated and played on a modern machine!

This was the first video game I ever played around the year 2000 I believe. This is what got me into video games and my family members were always concerned that I was too young to be playing games and having my face staring so close to the computer screen. Such an awesome game, Pac-man for life!

Dang really? This is a pretty cute and friendly game, I don’t see how any parent of the time could have an issue with it, it’s pretty clean all things considered, it’s freakin PAC-MAN, it’s simple, lighthearted and bright.
Absolutely loved this game as a kid. I hope they remake this one like they're doing Pac-Man World :D
This was the first real video game I was addicted to, and the first game I displayed some real gamer rage at.
The sound of my childhood! Ugh this was mine and my sisters favorite PC game back in 2004
This was my very very first game on any console ever played(computer back then) Then shining souls on the gameboy, King Kong on the ps2... so on so forth. Gamer for life.
Oh my goodness, I loved playing this as a kid. I didn’t even know there was cutscenes (probably because I used cheatcodes to get all the levels and play whichever ones I wanted). The bonus level after the future used to be really hard and I’d always die.
This looks like a really fun game.
Dear God. I just realized I played this game back in school in 2002.... everyday on free time I would rush to those old ass computers lol. Good fuckkng times!!!!!

@@Florida239Rican I put it on my disk drive and installed it it’s weird cause it didn’t work at first saying it’s not compatible with Windows 11 then one day I tried again and it literally worked idk how I got it to work but it works now idk if it’ll work for anyone else hopefully it does

This level was certainly a pain in the ass when I was a kid, I could never figure out how to make the snakes sleep so that I could get passed them till I found out what the flute was used for
This wasn't release on console like PS1 or Dreamcast. But i wish it would, other than Galaga Destination Earth to be release on.
I remember playing this and I was stuck on the second last level with 1 life and could never finish it

I miss that game a lot also like all stars and the golden maze. It's been about 14 or 15 years that I use to have those pacman game titles, unfortunately I don't have those titles anymore.😔 My brother doesn't remember those titles but I do.

Yeah, sometimes I get nostalgia from one of those stuff from my past. The one thing I remember the last time I played ms. Pacman and the golden maze is I completed the last maze level ... The golden maze... But I just found it from the chapter selection menu but I haven't completed the whole adventure. That really fooled me, bummer.

I think it doesn't have a save feature. I have beaten Quest for the Golden Maze before and it didn't save when I played it again. Never got Pac-Man All Stars because it wasn't sold in the UK.

I bought that game to go along with adventures in Time in June of 2016.
In The Opening Scene: The Ghosts has stolen the artifact and delivered to Mollusc. As Mollusc was pleased with this artifact and smash into four pieces: Inky: Whoa!!!! Clyde: Yeah, Now I see why. Mollusc: Now go!!! Make sure the others don’t get The Hands of These pieces Clyde: Ok….😓 (Meanwhile) Pac-Man: 😴💤 (Beep beep beep) Pac-Man: What’s going on? Huh? What’s this about? (Video Chat on) Professor Pac: OH THIS IS TERRIBLE!!! Pac-Man I need your help. You have to come to my Lab immediately. Pac-Man: What’s going on? Professor Pac: One of The Ghost has stolen the Artifact. Pac-Man: Are you sure? Professor Pac: Yes!!! Pac-Man: I’m on my way!!! (The Adventure begins….)
I just learned that 10 year old me was like 5 levels from the end of the game and something happened to my game file and I had to start over It's been like 13 years and I wanna die, I was so close and didn't even realize it

Played this game when i was young. Loved the multiplayer mainly the bomb one cause idk it was funny to me. The Cutscenes are cool, and my fav part is when professor Pac-man was idk speaking gibberish? idk some form of language

@@thisisasupersayin376 can't find your second comment anymore (it dissapeared like a lot of youtube comments do lately) but the reason the 3d models flicker (especially at the start of a level) is because I ran this on a modern computer and the game isn't optimized for that
