I watched him regularly from the time he arrived in Valencia and followed his every move closely. believe me, Pablo Aimar is in every story about the best football players ever, ALWAYS there and always will be, a real legendary player, with technique, dribbling, ball control, passing game, vision, football IQ etc etc from another planet, over the top level !!!

jamas estuvo infravalorado. si en valencia jugó dos finales de champions. y en river era dios. solo que tuvo varias lesiones y en realidad jamas exploto como debio hacerlo. aun asi fue maravilloso jugador

Yes he was and he made sure to tell it several times. For us Benfica Fans he's a legend although he didn't played many years in the Club and got here in the end of his career. He's in my top-5 SL Benfica Players. 1. Eusébio 2. Chalana 3. Rui Costa 5. Pablo Aimar 5. Angel Di Maria

But I'm not talking about a music Idol either 😂 Eusébio, Chalana and Rui Costa are legends in SL Benfica. If you watch videos of Chalana you can see what i'm talking about. I'm Portuguese and a SL Benfica supporter as Bernardo is. I never heard him say Messi was his favorite player. They are similar yes. So was Chalana. I'm not doubting you but the love that Bernardo always had for Chalana is public. Not only as a Person but as a Player also.

Same here. Being Barca fan he is only one non Barca player I used to like and watch him play gave me happiness. Later on came to know he Is GOAT’s idol. Some connection ❤

My Goodness I loved those two teams, Valencia with Aimar, Vicente, Carew, Baraja and Ayala and Cañizares And Depor with Makaay, Valeron, Tristan and Djalminha. They used to kick our arses left and right though but I loved them caused they did the same to real Madrid too. And other European giants

@@rupeshambavkar When I was new to scouting this was my favorite player. As it is a player that is easy on the eye and that lacks some physical characteristics that in the end will be his downfall and which will make it easy for defenders. For a number 10 he lacks the phyiscal dexterity and extreme balance of Messi, Kun and other short players despite being short of stature this can't be moved. In this case Aimar was closer to the likes of Forestieri or Bojan K. Another problem after the injuries was also his acceleration and top speed. Which other wise would be a way to protect him against the lack of strong core and low central balance. With Kun or Messi physical characteristics Aimar would of been a footballer for the ages.

Siempre fue mi jugador favorito. Pura magia. Làstima que algunas lesiones lo mermaron pronto. El ùtimo 10 habilidoso de Argentina (Messi es otro estilo, rapidito y al pie).

With the technical abilities that both he and Ortega possessed, I'll never understand why Argentina didn't win a trophy much sooner. Both were technically superior players that could dribble the entire team and score, they were also great passers it just boggles the mind that they didn't turn out much bigger than they did.

Argentina tuvo mundiales con mala suerte como el 98 2002 y la mejor seleccion fue la del 94 con Redondo, Maradona, Batistuta, Canigia pero la que mas talento tuvo la del 2006 con Aimar, Riquelme,Tevez , Saviola, Crespo , zanetti y un joven Messi.

Mind boggling indeed, unfortunately for Aimar, he was frequently injured. He was my favorite player back in the day, and I like to think that he would've been almost as successful as Messi had he been as strong and fortunate as him.

Argentina's National Team brilliance is a consequence of their talented managing team. Aimar, Scaloni and Samuel were very skilled players.
It’s a good compilation but this doesn’t do justice to unique he really was. Every move or pass was different. I’m probably his number 1 fan ever and seen all his matches at every club. His biggest quality was doing the impossible skill or gave the impossible pass. Injuries and less self belief made his career less great then it had to be. When free in his head he probably the most elegant player ever played the game. A true genius who always waited in the back when his team won any trophy’s, despite being the star of the team. I miss this dude

Pablo Aimar j’ai un maillot de l’Albiceleste que je porte souvent flanqué du numéro 10 avec Aimar inscrit au dos. Un joueur hors norme, un génie à l ‘état pur. Fan du Benfica je me régalais chaque fois que je le voyais jouer. Un vrai 10 à l’ancienne. J’avais 2 idoles Kaka et lui . 2 merveilleux joueurs qui rendaient les choses impossibles faciles. Avec eux le football était un art, une magie. Loin du football stéréotypé que l’on a l’habitude de voir de nos jours. Merci Pablo pour m’avoir fait rêver

Recuerdo q la primera vez que vi jugar a Pablo Aimar fue en la Selección Juvenil de Argentina dirigida por Pekerman junto a Riquelme, ambos se entendían excelente, luego de allí seguí viéndolo adónde fuese q jugara, era un verdadero placer ver al Payasito jugar al fútbol... para mí es uno de mis jugadores favoritos, y eso q soy de Boca, junto con Román obviamente, era pura magia Pablito Aimar...
