Great videos. I wish someone could hold the camera for you! What OBD2 scanner do you recommend for Peugeot 207?

Thanks 👍 I use older model of TopDon handheld obd reader. It would probably be an equivalent of this one now amzn.to/3vihq3n This new one has few more features than my one. One I've got is about 6-7 years old now.

Thanks very much. It’s awesome how you reply to all the comments and you explain things well. Love your videos! Get your daughter to hold the camera for you for all the work you’re doing for her! 😂

I have another question legend. I have fault code p0445 on my 207 touring petrol xt. I believe it’s the EGR valve or intake solenoid? Do petrol 1.6 vti engines have an EGR valve or just an intake solenoid? I can only find info on 1.6 diesel Hdi on KZread.

@@charlieowen4016 hi, I beleive there is no EGR on that petrol engine(99% sure). P0445 suggest fault on evap system. Or could even be loose fuel tank cap

I have the same car and I've changed the 2 oxygen sensors. I still have an error (p2270) on the downstream sensor (after the catalytic converter). I think it must be the power supply, don't you? I can't get it to start and one out of 3 times I can't get it to start (it lights up, fogs for a few minutes and then goes out). I usually have to start it 2/3 times before it's at a stable idle and I can drive it. This engine is a real piece of shit.

It could be that is cable or plastic connector issue, because p2270 indicates fully open circuit, e.i. broken cable or unplugged sensor or loose contact or similar

@@mrfxr1695Oh, I see. I saw in the wiring of the lambda sensor downstream that a cable was stripped and you can see the wires. My hypothesis is that either they've been burnt by the hot oil (yes, I've had several oil leaks on this car) or I've connected the connector incorrectly. I'll look into it this week.

@@Yinox_ that could be your problem there, striped wires All the best 👍

@@mrfxr1695The problem is that these are the wires coming from the ECU and not the sensor. And I don't know where I can find that. I don't think I'll be keeping this car anyway. Every month I have to make repairs, it's a money pit.

if you buy a piece of shit example , you will get stained... ofc there are very nice peugeot cars that have been kept in working order by responsible ppl... Usually people expect alot when they buy a car thats under 1k... you get what you paid for .. i have a peugeot 1.4 petrol and its a beast, everything works if you service it.
