A bench headed by Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud heard the NEET petitions. The Central Government had opposed the cancellation of NEET-UG examination in an affidavit filed in the Supreme Court on Friday. The central government had said in its affidavit that cancellation of the examination would cause loss to lakhs of students who had given the examination honestly. Now the next hearing in this case will be held on Thursday.
नीट पेपर लीक मामले में 38 याचिकाएं सुप्रीम कोर्ट पहुंच चुकी हैं. उनमें से ज्यादातर याचिकाएं नीट यूजी परीक्षा को रद्द करने की मांग वाली हैं. चीफ जस्टिस ऑफ इंडिया डीवाई चंद्रचूड़ की अध्यक्षता वाली बेंच इन याचिकाओं पर सुनवाई की. केंद्र सरकार ने शुक्रवार को सुप्रीम कोर्ट में दायर हलफनामे में नीट-यूजी परीक्षा रद्द करने का विरोध किया था. केंद्र सरकार ने अपने हलफनामे में कहा था कि परीक्षा रद्द होने से उन लाखों छात्रों को नुकसान होगा जिन्होंने ईमानदारी से परीक्षा दी थी. अब इस मामले में अगली सुनवाई गुरुवार को होगी.
