Sher Shaah Suurii had spotted his talent when Himuu was a salt vendor in some port city. Hemu rose through the ranks (over the next 15 years) in the Afghaan army {i·e· the Suurii Empire} and ultimately the Muslim warriors themselves chose Hemuu as their sovereign monarch and decided to throw out the weak ruler Adil Shaah. Himu had risen through the ranks over those 15 years {started as a small military officer during the beginning of his career to eventually go on to become the very Commander－in－Chief itself}. Hemchandra Vikramaaditya is a glaring example of a *self made* man.

Very little is written on Hemu. He fought more than 20war and looses in his last. He belongs to Machaheri in Alwar. My father wrote a book on Hemu. Still his Haveli is in Rewari.
