A bit ironic when he got to "I memorise every line," seeing as he had to read words of song from a sheet! Still, an undoubted talent whose rendition of "I apologise" remains one of the all-time great vocal performances.

Yes, though I don't think he 'dropped dead' as Proby puts it but died in hospital after breaking his hip in a fall.

he still owes me 4 pints from drinking with me in huddersfield in 1980, last time i saw him was in pub in linthwaite and he was living in a tent in a field, and he looked at me and remembered me, and i just blanked him and walked off

R E This guy used to sing songs that had been written for Elvis. That's how Presley's management knew if they wanted Elvis to do them.

I thought PJ did very well considering he was inebriated and having to answer such personal questions regarding his finances. He kept his good humour, was honest, and was very sweet. Alcoholism is terrible and I'm also happy that he is taking better care of himself. He's outliving them all and still working hard!

It was creepy and embarrassing, but a composed woman always knows how to handle a situation like that. She was admirable, and very kind. God bless British ladies.
