Who really cares what the anti Proby people say. Proby still has thousands of fans & deservedly so.He's the real King!

I believe that this man has a better voice than Elvis. How come I've never heard of him before today.

Anybody with the slightest musical knowledge can hear that this is THE version of this beautiful song. Others are excellent but this by P.J. is the very best!

I too wish I could have seen P.J. in the 60' but I never heard his wonderful voice until 1977, not long after Elvis died. I'd only just become an Elvis fan at the beginning of 1977 and was very broken hearted when he died, but when I heard P.J.Proby's wonderful voice for the first time, I was an instant convert. I firmly believe P.J. is the better singer of the two and I agree with you tBe, Why there isn't more early concert footage of P.J. on Video or DVD in one of life's biggest mysteries.

grizzlygalore I merely said that this is my favourite PJ recording The song is a classic & PJ did it brilliantly. I see him onstage regulary & he is vocally as good as ever. He does not do this song these days in his act but he does lots of his other classic hits live & when he sings them they are delivered as good as the originals. Go see P.J. live & maybe you will agree but until you do that you cannot judge.The new CD is cowboy themed so he has adapted his voice to that sort of music.

Seeing this clip on ready steady go back in the 1980s made me go out and buy more proby records. What a discovery it was . The guy has an amazing voice nobody can touch him !
