Film: perfect blue (1997) also my fav movie lol
plot: Mima is the singer of a famous Japanese musical group. Due to the failure of the sales of his albums, his manager decides to separate her from the group and give him a role in a television series. Then, Mima falls into a deep depression that leads her to rethink her life and her career, but her crisis worsens when she discovers that her life is available to anyone on the Internet and that someone is watching her. When the series begins to be broadcast on television, Mima verifies that fiction is reproduced in her real life: the dream and reality are confused to the point of questioning her own identity. The really creepy thing is that this anime is literally about a pop star, the pop star’s jealous manager, and the pop star’s stalker all sharing a mental illusion. The pop star keeps seeing herself and the stalker keeps seeing the pop star with him while the jealous manager is dressing herself as the pop star trying to mess with the pop star’s mind. It’s all very confusing.

I wouldn't say the manager is jealous, the manager actually thinks she IS Mima.

no Black Swan was majorly inspired by Perfect Blue since the movie was released way before Black Swan. And the director to Black Swan bought rights to the idea + concept from Satoshi Kon (creator of Perfect Blue)

Thanks for this anime, I was suffering from schizophrenia because I was exposed to bad things in my childhood that changed me for the worse. I always felt that I was a fake and disgusting person. I was hoping to be back an innocent little girl, but now I feel some comfort when I watched this anime because it represents my suffering completely.

But a psycho fan it’s not happy with her decision and it’s trying to disturb her. Bc of him she is starting to see visions and getting a lil crazy. I don’t want spoilers but her manager plays a VERY important role on her madness. I recommend u this film so much...it’s so fckn strange but i love it sm. Hope u have understand me :)

The fact that this movie shows the reality of being a "avatar" for people to enjoy. Even they are a real person
I really enjoy how some of the scenes correlate with the lyrics. Like how at 0:17, mima turns her shoulder at the EXACT moment Melanie sings "over my shoulder." Then when the stalker is at her concert with her band at 0:22, the lyric is "analyze my every move" as he stares. Another good one is when she falls down the stairs at 2:13, it aligns with "falling flat". Those extra details makes this fun to watch :)

This movie is about a movie star named Mima, who quits her job to become a actress. That guy is always stalking her, obsessing and fantasizing about her and her boss is selling personal videos and photos and sending emails to him about her. She starts to get haunted by a ghost impersonating her and ruining her life. (etc, her boss making porn of her and selling it to him..) COMENTARIO SPOILER? abueno la verdad la película es un poco confusa, en la historia podemos ver a Mima que es la prota, que pertenecía a un grupo j-pop la cual se retira del grupo y se concentra en su carrera de actriz, debido a eso recibió muchas criticas de sus fanáticos, entonces entra Rumi que es como una figura materna para Mima, el caso es que mima se entera de una página web llamado: " la habitación de Mima", lo que pasa es que mima se siente observada y comienza a alucinar. Entonces Mima le cuenta a Rumi lo que estaba pasando sobre la página Web, Rumi no le toma mucho interés, y aquí es cuando ella comienza a dudar de si misma, podemos observar que ella comienza alucinar con ella misma pero en el grupo que antes integraba, la ilusión que tenia ella decía que sentía que estaba mejor como cantante e integrante del grupo de j-pop llamado " CHAM"( me olvide agregarlo antes xd), bueno entonces ella tuvo la oportunidad de tener un papel en una película, el caso es que es papel que tomaría Mima era de ser violada, la cual Rumi ( como su representante algo así) se opone ante este papel, al final Mima lo hace, al hacer la escena Mima no puede comparar actuación con lo real, ella comienza a llorar, pero ya no por el rodaje de la escena, sino porque se sentía sucia, ( en Japón cuando tienes relaciones ya no se te considera pura o inocente xd) entonces ella comienza a odiarse, y vuelve sus ilusiones más frecuentemente. Entonces ahora vamos por Rumi, como escribí al principio ella es una figura Materna para Mima, pero tenia un trastorno mental? (xd) bueno ella anteriormente fue también integrante de un grupo de j-pop, el caso es que ella veía a Mima como ella, entonces ella no le gusto la idea de que deje de ser cantante de j-pop, entonces ella estaba decepcionada de Mima, en pocas palabras estaba obsesionada con Mima, que llegó al punto de creerse ella, Entonces un día Rumi le dice a Mima para que la lleve en su auto, pero esta vez le dijo: que irían a la "habitación de Mima", por supuesto Mima pensó en su habitación. Al llegar se da cuenta que estaban en la habitación de Rumi, que era idéntica a la habitación de Mima, es cuando Mima comienza a procesar todo, cuando sale Rumi con un vestido rojo, ya que ahora rumi estaba en el papel de Mima ya que esta se cree Mima xd(en el minuto 2:43 podemos ver que en el espejo es Rumi), ya que en esta película el espejo revela la realidad. Entonces Rumi intenta asesinar a Mima para que ella sienta que es Mima, entonces Mima le quita la peluca a Rumi, entonces Rumi vuelve a la realidad, ya que sentía que sin la peluca no era Mima. En el minuto 3:42 podemos ver a Rumi a pocos segundos de ser atropellada, ella piensa que es el escenario con las luces y todo. La parte del acosador llamado Mimania no lo entendí mucho, pero este siempre quería proteger a Mima, entonces el imagina a Mima con el, como podemos ver, entonces esa Mima que el alucina le dice algo de que mate a la Mima falsa o algo así ( si me equivoco con la parte de Mimania profa díganmelo xd ) bueno al final Mimania Muere. esto es todo uwu, corríjanmelo si me equivoque en algo, bye

Explanation: There is a very famous pop idol named Mima and her friend named Rumi. Basically, Mima wants to be an actor and not a pop idol anymore. Rumi thinks that this is something that Mima shouldn't and wouldn't do. So basically, Rumi does some mind illusion stuff with a wig to make her look like a more angelic, real Mima. She basically goes off the deep end and kills everyone who realised that she wasn't the real Mima. Then, one night in a room that I'm guessing was Rumi's, Mima wakes up realizing that it isn't her room. The disguised Rumi then comes into the room saying, "Of course this isn't you room, this is Mima's room~!" She then starts singing a bit and Mima then looks into the mirror and sees that it's her best friend in disguise. The Disguised Rumi denies it and says that Rumi worked hard and went home. You can see what happens next in the video. Edit: Rumi doesn't die at the end. She tried to commit suicide after Mima realised that it was her but the end of this video was kinda misleading.. It wasn't all just a fever dream as she thought about it on a stage. It actually happened to her. And Rumi got pushed out of the way by Mima.

and then Rumi went to a mental hospital and they revealed the plot twist that Ruma had DID the whole time and one of her alters basically became Mima's idol self who was in charge of all the murders.

I know this is old but I still think about it. Its still on my top list of the most disturbing animations I've ever seen...not because it's full of gore but it rlly does have a deep meaning to it and they rlly projected it well.
I've been rewatching this all week. It's so fitting and the editing is amazing, great job on the video!
Let's also pay attention to how mima's mentally strong, like... Someone could commit suicide at her place. Even when watching anime i felt this mental pressure that it gives you. And of course thank you to it's author with such an imagination, he deserves even more recognition. Also thank you to this video's author because its thanks to her/him that i discovered this film (and to it's watchers that told that i can watch it for free on KZread 😂)

When her stalker tries to picture her as being in his hand, it shows us it seems love is only partial to his obsession, but he mainly wants to control her and make her small. I simply love how you added the scene where her killer finally poses for once last time in the blinding lights of the truck.
