For example, a guy is video recorded while raping a woman 16 years ago & then 16 years later that video comes to light, should he be prosecuted or not prosecuted due to statute of limitations❓❓

Contraty to public view, Diddy is not the king of the hill. There are other more powerful and influential people over him, that may be involved in these parties, including politicians, 1%ers, mega billionaires, and highly public figures, if the stories are to be believed. Its a delicate matter to remove these individuals from the circus to get Diddy. So evidence forthcoming will, be sure to leave these individuals out of the case. Or maybe he will end up like Epstein. Does anyone ever question why Epstein was incarcerated in one of if not the worst prion in the Federal prison system, and he ended up hanging himself. If he was doing this with the world's elite. Would it not be prudent to put him in the most secure prison int the Feds. He goes to messed up prison and commits suicide, no one else at risk anymore. Maybe conspiracy, or just Hollywood suspense. Lets see what part 2 of this trilogy reveals.

Not sure what Cassie had in her lawsuit, but if it included rape after the assault, why would he not be charged with kidnapping and rape, which have no statue of limitations? Just maybe the feds let California know, they have this case in the bag!!!!! What is kidnapping? (California Penal Code 207-209 PC) California’s kidnapping laws are found under California Penal Code 207, 208, 209 and 209 PC. You are in violations of these laws if you are guilty of all of the following: Moving another person a substantial distance Without his or her consent By using using force (inflicting physical force upon them) or fear (threatening to physically harm them) Moving the alleged victim In order to be guilty of kidnapping, you need to move the victim a substantial distance. It cannot be a slight or trivial distance. In order to determine whether the distance is substantial enough to be considered kidnapping, several factors are taken into account, including: The actual distance that the victim was moved Whether moving the victim that distance made the kidnapper less likely to be caught Whether moving the victim that distance increased the risk of harm to the victim (such as moving the victim out of view of potential witnesses) It is possible for kidnapping charges to be supported by movement of a very short distance under certain circumstances. For example, if the defendant were to move the victim only 30 feet out of the view of potential witnesses in order to rape or otherwise physically harm them. This short distance is considered substantial enough because the intention of the movement is to make it easier to inflict harm upon the victim. Lack of consent In order for kidnapping charges to be supported, the victim must be moved without their consent. This means that the victim either put up a fight, or did not voluntarily agree to go with the defendant. Children and people who are intoxicated or otherwise mentally incapacitated are considered able to give consent. If the defendant was the child’s lawful custodian, or if the victim voluntarily went with the defendant, kidnapping charges may not be supported. Physical force, fear or fraud In order to be convicted of kidnapping, it is not enough to simply move the victim, you must use physical force, threats of physical harm, or fraud in order to do so. This could include restraining or dragging the victim (force) or threatening the victim with a knife or a gun (fear). When it comes to fraud, it is not enough to be convicted of kidnapping to use fraud as a means to move someone without also using force or feat. Fraud only enters the equation in various “aggravated” kidnapping circumstance, for example, fraudulently kidnapping someone in order to sell them into slavery. “Simple” and “aggravated” kidnapping laws In California, there are two main types of kidnapping offenses: “simple” and “aggravated” kidnapping. “Simple” kidnapping is when you move another person a substantial distance without his or her consent using force or fear, as stated above. “Aggravated” kidnapping, which results in greater penalties than “simple” kidnapping, includes using force, fear, or fraud in order to move another person a substantial distance without their consent. Additionally, “aggravated” kidnapping must include at least one of the following factors: You hold the victim for ransom The victim suffers bodily harm or death as a result of the kidnapping The victim is under 14 years of age The victim is kidnapped during a carjacking Penalties for “simple” and “aggravated” kidnapping are explained below. Kidnapping-related offenses There are several offenses that are related to kidnapping or that are special circumstances of kidnapping that fall under specific penal codes. Additionally, penalties for some of these offenses may vary from the penalties given for other charges of “simple” or “aggravated” kidnapping.

    120. In or around March 2016, during an FO at the InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles, Mr. Combs became extremely intoxicated and punched Ms. Ventura in the face, giving her a black eye. 121. After he fell asleep, Ms. Ventura tried to leave the hotel room, but as she exited, Mr. Combs awoke and began screaming at Ms. Ventura. He followed her into the hallway of the hotel while yelling at her. He grabbed at her, and then took glass vases in the hallway and threw them at her, causing glass to crash around them as she ran to the elevator to escape. 122. She managed to get into the elevator, and when she got to the lobby, quickly took a cab to her apartment. Upon realizing that her running away would cause Mr. Combs to be even angrier with her, and completely stuck in his vicious cycle of abuse, Ms. Ventura returned to the hotel with the intention of apologizing for running away from her abuser. When she returned, hotel security staff urged her to get back into a cab and go to her apartment, suggesting that they had seen the security footage showing Mr. Combs beating Ms. Ventura and throwing glass at her in the hotel hallway. 123. Upon information and belief, Mr. Combs paid the InterContinental Century City $50,000 for the hallway security footage from that evening. Cassie did not discuss the hair grabbing, kicking, or dragging (she was so traumatized). So looking at this footage, and with her statement it appears, she was able to come back around the the corner, get in the elevator, and escape the hotel. What is missing is how long it took her to get back to the elevator to escape. This maybe a reason not to press charges for kidnapping. Could there be more tape of her leaving, or making it onto the elevator. How long was it after he pulled her out of visibility, was she able to escape. Could be important for a kidnapping case vs an assault case. Possible, reason DA did not purse those non statue charges. Again, its just enough video to let P Diddy know they have evidence on him.

One to three years statute of limitations for battery is disgusting. There clearly isn't a lack of evidence. The case should be determined worthy of prosecution based on evidence, not time, especially when it is as serious as this. This is a deliberate attempt to pretend to care but come up with ludicrous excuses to ignore and permit.

well statue of limitations or not, no one has charged him with any form of a crime. Just accusations and potential lawsuits. The real question is, how come no one is charging him?

@@JohnWick-zq8ud Yup. There's not a chance this is a one off. No one can claim that he isn't guilty, legally or not. She laid there still for a reason. I would not just lay there if someone did that to me. But, I'm not routinely beaten. She has learned that if she doesn't move or react, he may do less. The actions in the video may be beyond the statute of limitations. I'm sure there are some actions that are not.

I think he should be charged with kidnapping. What is the statue of limitations against that??? He was dragging her. Maybe they will dispute it because she ended up going back to the room herself after leaving. They said she was scared and went back to apologize to him for leaving. So sad.
