I see where DCS World added you to their official "Accessible Tutorials on DCS World", well done, and well deserved. The best to you and yours.
When landing alone three point is preferred. When landing in groups, almost always the case in WWII, wheel landings were performed. A wheel landing allows you to see what the guy in front of you is doing.
Great take-off. Now set assistance slider to 0 ;)
So glad you guys are doing these vids helps us all learn how to fly these planes best instructors as well.

It’s incredible satisfying landing this plane smoothly without bouncing
You want the rudder trim set to 6° because of P-factor. The plane on Takeoff is at high angle of attack/ high deck angle, low speed and high thrust. Once level and at higher speed the designed set in, off angle of the tail fin starts to take care of most of the rest. But if you get the airplane at high or low angles then add power you will need a little or a boot full of rudder
Cap, it would great to see the re-run, from out side the aircraft! That way we can see the landing from a spectators view!
If your mouse has a wheel you can use that to turn knobs. I believe you hold left button and roll the wheel to turn the knobs in which ever direction
I land this plane by hovering above the runway extremely close to the ground with a speed of 100-120 mph before idling the throttle and letting her stall onto the ground. This avoids bounces and she settles on the ground and will be easier to stop. I also use this method to stop on carriers without falling off.
Flare my friend... Flare.....
From my experience what I basically do on landing is cut throttle at the threshold,
Any landing you walk away from is a good landing....old ww2 pilot saying ;)
I'd love to see the Hawker Tempest on DCS.
So I'm currently still a f2p-player and after all that flying with the su-25t I tried the tf-51 today. I struggled landing the frogfoot all the time but the mustang: its so easy to land... Don't know if it's because I played il-2 before but I was just startled when I landed this thing first try
The older bald percussionist that played with many rock stars including McCartney....ya that’s who I see when I hear your grim reaper voice...every time!👍🍺🤷🏻♂️
if u fly a glideslope on final and then make a flare, that both demand 20% throttle to comepnsate the missing kinetic energy, you will impact with less total energy, if you cutoff the throttle the very second of touchdown. meaning: flare as long as you can with about 2700rpm and go idle when you hear you wheels. you wont balloon anymore. you can also reduce ballooning by applying about 30% brakes on touchdown. idk if that applicable irl, so maybe the latter tip is cheating :)
You WOULDN'T want to go without trim in a real airplane. Its a real bear without it.
German sounds like the scientist that is the assistant for Steve Carell from space force lmao
Any chance we could get a tutorial on proper engine management for long flights and combat? I've been running into an issue where my engine seizes up and I'm not at all sure what's causing it
