Erik I was drooling watching that beautiful P-51C. As a child I had a collection of Revell scale model planes. My favorites were the aforementioned P-51, P-47, P-39, P-40 and of course the P-38. Thank you for the memories..

I build those models aswell as a kid, my favorites were P-47 and Fw-190, love those big radials. But this thing is sexy too :)

I love that this was so tidily converted into a two-seater - giving the opportunity to the lucky few to experience this beautiful airplane themselves.

Well done. Doug knows his airplanes like the back of his hand and is a great interview.

IMO, the P-51 and the B-1B are the two sexiest airframes of all time.

I think the Spitfire takes the laurels for the best looking propeller aircraft. Design taken directly from the Supermarine S.6B racing seaplane. RJ Mitchell was a genius.

I met one of the Tuskegee airmen at Santa Monica airport museum, he was a guide. He was a legend, he took the time to share his flying experiences. V interesting video and v knowledgeable presenter 😊

In the cockpit, Mr. Rozendaal was showing the fuel switches for the wing tank boosters. He mentioned that they aren't used unless they're at high altitude. My question is, how often, or ever, so they fly above 15k feet when not transiting mountains? Do they ever go that high or higher?
