P-51 Mustang "AMERICAN BEAUTY" CAP. John Voll
Спорт
Large scale P-51 Mustang "AMERICAN BEAUTY" John Voll.
This aircraft is a perfect scale from Composite-Arf, builded in only 600 hours aprox. The engine is a 80CC ZDZ RV and total weight 17kg. MTOW.
Elevator, ailerons, flaps, rudder, engine gas, choke, positions and landing lights, open/close canopy, radiator door, retracts and bay doors whit sequencer.. all moving by remote control JR PCM10X. Two battery packs for power the avionics and on pack for engine electronic ignition.
In the instruments panel you can see the air pressure gauge totally functional and the power leds and electronic switches.. And the mechanical choke to star the engine.
This is one of my favorite jewel.
In honor to this USAF guys that make our freedom in a WWII.
Thanks very much.

Dam, that's the coolest P51 model I've ever seen! My dad was an air Traffic controller. When we moved to Cheyenne in 1960 the Air National guard still had P51s . Ever since the first time I saw 1, it's been my all time favorite plane. I wish I could see yours in person. I'm a nut for models of any kind, but especially P51s! Had to let you know how impressed I am with your build. Great job!!!!
My compliments for the great tribute to Cap John Voll and for your great result. It's a wonderful P-51 Mustang :-)
there was no USAF in WWII it was the army air corps. Beautiful mustang!
There are two full size P51 Mustangs that fly over my house at least twice each month during the summer and this model looks like the real thing. Congratulations on building an authentic replica. Beautiful work and admirable piloting.
Dude...your plane is practically a MODEL, not an RC! This is god damn AMAZING! Just don't crash the bird!!
beautiful model. Captain Voll looks down from heaven and feels honored.
You even included identification lights!! WOW! (The red, green, and supposedly yellow lights on the ends of the wings).
absolutely stunning... a flying work of art. there's no finer...
A complete masterpiece! I am currently building a 60 inch P-51 made of balsa wood. I can tell you that I plan on making mine as detailed as yours. Thanks for the video!
Finally, appropriate music for this type of aircraft. And some songs I've never heard before. Nice build and first flight. Thanks for posting and God Bless.

Wow! Amazing aircraft you built. A truly talented craftsman. I’d be afraid to fly it. I’m sure some tweaks were made but for the first flight, a great accomplishment.
Hats off to you Luis. Fantastic job. The plane looks incredible and is a nice tribute to John Voll. Nice video as well.
This sure is a beauty! Great work from spinner to rudder. I like the gas cap, and the cockpit detail.
Beautiful aircraft, and very good cinematography
Just one word - AWSOME! The sound makes me drool...
The most beautiful plane the U.S. has ever built.
SWEET Model... great dedication went into this one, well done
I believe the real P51 was based out of Edmonton Alberta Canada under the name of "What's Up Doc?" This warbird was flown by Ross Grady through the '80's and was transformed into "American Beauty" not too long ago. Also I think it may have served in the Bolivian Air force in it's younger days. Beautiful video.....Awesome airplane.
One word....EXCELLENT! so much heart blood an love for details. A pleasure for my eyes. More please! Greetings from Germany.
No woman is a beautiful as the Mustang...I'd marry this metal bird if I could!
Great story of an American hero and Ace. Beautiful aircraft. Thanks for sharing.

Awesome! It doesn't get any better then that! I'm fixing to build a Giant P-51 RTC and I must say your work really inspired me. Thank you! Great Job!
Fantastic looking airplane..thumbs up..Tim
Luis, Nice work recreating John Volls plane it looks epic man.
Even the identification lights, landing lights, tail and wing-tip lights! xD You should add cockpit lights too!
Nice film, and a beautiful piece of modeling!
The P-51 was an absolutely amazing airplane, and you did an excellent job on your build. Detail on the cockpit just blows me away! I wish I had the patience to do this, but I'm always in too much of a hurry to fly the things, so I stick to the RTF foamies.
Beautiful model with amazing details in every respect except the prop. You have amazing modeling skills sir! Nice video as well; loved the period-correct music.
Fantastic film...Nicely done
Superb!
Brilliant, well done!!!!!
Beautiful p-51.! but it really needs a scale prop....
Wonderful. Excellent video.
Well done!!! Wow!
Awesome video and plane.....congratulations..thanks to post. Mario from Brazil
Fantastic vid and plane, you should be proud of them both!
VERY NICE !!!! great job....
dude... awsome!
Wow - very beautiful plane! More vids, please.
Best ive seen so far, and ive seen quite a few, congrats on a fantastic job, and good luck.
just amazing....congrats
love it good work!!!
Beautiful plane man, nice job....
nice plane very impresive!!!!
awesome plane , video and perfect matching music!! 4 bladed prop wd add a lot though
wowwwwww esta increible muchas felicidades un gran ejemplo para el aeromodelismo saludos desde mexico
I built a 1/4 scale Don Smith P-51 and the wings had 3/4 inch wash out. I am thinking this one must have wash out built in also. Mine would not hold a candle to your workmanship. It is beautiful. But I had a lot of enjoyment during those long hours spent building it.
Yes this very beautiful
Salute ! What a beauty she is !!

Never fails to amaze me. The talent, attention to detail, and dedication that obviously went into this model, and video. Fantastic job. Very impressive build. But, you could not use stabilization or a tripod? Constantly and consistently perplexed am I. Again, excellent build.
Muy bueno el video: buen montaje, buena calidad...... y buen trabajo con el avión. ¡Enhorabuena!
good job, excelent...
Thanks to all for appreciate this job. Its a honor for me your words. Luis
nice job!
Scary takeoff, needed nudges of right rudder.Large 2-strokes sound more like Merlins than 4-strokes.
Ignore the rude people. Your plane is beautiful, and your video is nice!
Joer Luis!!, muy buen trabajo te lo has currao!!. Enhorabuena. . . Hey Luis, nice job, a lot of work!!, congratulations!! . . Antonio Lopez from Gran Canaria . . . Canary Islands
Quick tip....If I'm not mistaken, the real P51-D Mustang does have a 4 prop nose...but I'm not going to criticize this aircraft...it's beautiful, great, great work.
I always make sure my 5th scale Mustang is "flying" before the wheels ever leave the ground. These planes are notorious for tip stalling the left wing straight into the ground if you pull too soon.
Awesome video!! Hey, "To Be Continued.." that's my line!
Bravo
Wonderful aircraft flown perfect scale.Fantastic music befitting to the proud bird. I'd love to see an inline 4 cylinder sounding within........Pete

ikr! Personally, I enjoy a lot of 1920-1950s music. 1940s were a good time! ^_^ And a lot of music in that era was war suited, meaning they were singing about or something along the lines of war.
Great looking Mustang. I can certainly appreciate the work involved in the scale details, and the nostalgic audio seems perfectly fitting in your video presentation of such a fine example of modelling craftsmanship. I have but one quibble to note and that is the obvious lack of a four blade scale propeller for that wonderful warbird, but 9 out of a possible 10! cheers!

COOL , EL MEJOR AVION DE LA SEGUNDA GUERRA MUNDIAL
I just wanted to say thank you for that great example of history. The time and effort you put into your P-51 shows. I know and understand about the two bladed prop. I found it very sad that the people couldn't read your post and leave it to that. Sorry. Could you tell me the scale you used and where you got the model. Thank you so much. I hope to hear from you. Hi Andrew, tanks for your words. The model is a Fiberclassics kit.
Luis, congratulations on a great model. I understand and appreciate you passion for a particular pilot's fighter. I recently customised a 1.7m electric foamy as an RAAF pilots mount from the South West Pacific. A pleasure to watch...thank you for your efforts. Rob
Guess it didn't survive the landing ??? Fantastic job on the plane.

The engine sound is real. A ZDZ 80RV with special hand made muffler
Looks good and sounds good. be nice if it had a real supercharged Rolls Royce Merlin engine in it though.

You must to have a stainless steel tube of 1 1/4" and cut two pieces. In one size of each you make a stopper and in the other solder other small tube to connect with "Y" to engine. Both will have a holes (one per cylinder) were soldered small tubes with correct angle and scale. In my case, between "Y" and engine, has a muffled along inside fuselage to have more power. best regards, Luis
Maravilhoso avião.
@NBsk8er4life the song was trasmit from a radio in the WWII. Its a old record and probably American people was earing in his planes.
NOT THE PIANO REEF:::: THE SONG LADY AND THE OTHER :D:D
nice video super nice plane although prefer the actual building of a model its a sweet model
Large Scale P 51 Mustang: What a fine looking [ fully detailed ] model. What a delight to watch. I was especially impressed by the "period" music of that time, that accompanied the video. I can see that much preparation was made before publishing this video. More please, and thank you very much. By the way, can you let us know who the musical artists were that were played in the video ? Perhaps I missed it in the credits displayed. Once again Thanks, and Good Luck !

Brilliant can we have video of landing also we love it!
Beautiful plane!! A little friendly advice though you need more ground speed before lifting off. You were right on the edge of a stall and Id sure hate to see that plane get smashed.
Never mind the landing, but to wreck a model like this on its maiden flight, after all the love and effort to put it in the sky, and shrug it off, requires ice water in the veins.
@straighttailpilot in that case I will give LOTS OF CREDIT for the flight. I know first flights are always nerve racking especially with something like that and also a learning curve on the aircraft. well done. by the way its a gorgeous plane.
@carlosmurphy4u Dear Carlos, the engine is a ZDZ 80RV and the kit is From Composite arf

@antoniobassman Gracias Antonio. Too much work from start to end, and many calls to USA WWII specialist and the company which restored the 1/1 airplane.. Thanks for your comments
@robocong7420 .22 bullets can go around 1.5-2 miles, maybe more, so that might not be very safe. I've had the same idea though. Beautiful airplane solojets, that is by far one of the best I've ever seen. It looks breath taking in the air too!
Favorite plane of all time growing up and now still. Great attention to detail, wonderful final result, props pal {2 bladed}, amazing. Not to be rude, but did you crash on the landing? I hope not, either way nice video, shame I had to mute the entire thing, but I try not to judge . . .

No crash landing. The video only show 20% of the first flight test. The video batteries was down.
@sapemi08 Me llena de alegría que disfrute con ello. Es mi intención. Muchas gracias por su comentario.
@THEGHOSTSLAVE Its a F4C Scale model compettition. Dont need and no has penalty to fly with 2 blade props. Thanks for your coment.
@msp1865 Thanks very much. I´m happy for your comment
@Idaho278 . Thanks very much for your words
@tiredlight Thanks sir.
great job, is better proppeler four blades like real P51
You are missing a few things inside the cockpit, and some things are out of place. The two fuel gauges were practically under the seat, instead of in front of it. No prop pitch, mixture, and throttle grip??? Radio and electric equipment is on the right side of the cockpit, so a pretty good job I guess. Tail warning light on the top left of the dash? It looks like a horn almost. Gunsight? No gear handle. I didn't see an oxygen regulator system, but maybe I just didn't see it? STILL, a HUGE, FANTASTIC JOB MAN!!! Liked and subscribed.
Beautiful model. I love the way you made the details :) Landing light, identification light, extraction of munition, wonderful made cockpit... We don't see the links of servos in the wings... I'm starting a Carf Model and I'm fan of your work. Congrat!

Hello, all lights are made in moulded plastic.
beautiful looking plane. Looked like it was flying tail heavy to me. The landing wasn't shown, more likely than not he crashed the bird in the landing. Again its a very nice bird.

@erkq In a F4C Scale contest accepts to change the prop to fly. This airplane is include in this category. Thanks for your comment.
yes,,i agree 100% with people who are complaining..plz tell me why...it doesnt' it have the normal 4 prop propeller? it does totally detract from the beauty of the plane without it.
@GlassmanDan3 Ok, thanks very much to find that mistake. Could you said to us were is the functional gauge in the cockpit? Best regards
@CHUCKLOVES1969 Congratulatios for view this detail!!
4:12 looks real...
