Lyrics:
Mr. Crowley, won't you ride my white horse?
Mr. Crowley, it's symbolic, of course
Approaching a time that is classic
I hear that maiden's call
Approaching a time that is drastic
Standing with their backs to the wall

How ozzy was able to land not 1 but 2 of the greatest heavy metal guitarists of all time for his solo career is INSANE.

Ozzy was incredibly famous before his solo career started. When you have your pick of hired guns, you’re going to have a great guitarist. There are many talented guitarists in the world that are playing 4 chord pop songs for the Taylor Swifts of the world. Zakk is fortunate to have landed a gig that allowed him to be himself.

Eh, I don't know that I agree with the "edited to perfection" bit. I don't know that I've seen the whole Live n Loud performance, but if it's cut together like this is (with Ozzy and band dressed differently every other shot), it's really no different than a lot of music videos.

It's a compilation of the best parts of different concerts of that particular song on the tour. They change guitars when a string breaks. Pay attention to the background
I'm not the biggest Zakk fan on earth, but he did RR's solos justice on this live album. The way he played them was 85 percent Randy and 15 percent Zakk, and I can appreciate the literal hell out of that. The recording was very heavily produced, which leaves me to wonder how many corrective measures were taken in post production (like KISS Alive II revealed to all of us about 'live' albums), but it made for an enjoyable listening experience so I'm not going to complain

Hmmm, he does nod to Randy from time to time but his sound is heavy with effects. I'm not a fan, simply because I went to see Ozzy with Jake e lee once, not knowing that they had parted ways and Zakk Wilde came on stage, I was soooo disappointed. Never really got over it.
@freepressright
Жыл бұрын
@Answers in Reality when you consider how Zakk phoned it in on the Pantera stuff, at least during the first leg of tours, you can appreciate what parts of Randy's work he actually DID keep intact here. And I guess context is what I would emphasize here. When you look at the context of Zakk's career and how he kind of does his own thing now, he put more into it back then. Obviously I would never argue that he's a Randy clone, and if anyone thought so, I apologize for the misunderstanding.

Give hands up to Zack, he played Randy with such class and nailed both solos and kept it right in the bounds of Rhodes, outstanding respect, and Jake E Lee did that too, respect to both guitar players!!

This is like kne of the rare instances where a guitarist improves on an iconic solo someone else wrote. Just perfect.
