There are a lot that do. But some don’t fully understand the actual value of his music. Flawless, expressive, nuanced, creative, experimental. When you really get the kind of talent Randy had and exactly how innovative and creative the stuff he was doing was, from an actual music theory standpoint… it’s absurd. The guy was a musical powerhouse way ahead of his time. He was so much more than a metal guitarist. He was a full blown composer.

My favorite guitar solo EVER! I love watching different players apply their own style to it. Randy would have been PROUD! Nice job!

I have enjoyed this about 20 times already. RIP Randy. You are my favorite guitarist.

2:20 is intense. That's actually my favorite part of the solo. Randy just shredded pentatonic lightning fast and it's just badass. Need to work on my picking hand though, for sure.

Killer playing, man. Very tasteful rendition of the legend’s work.

This definitely one of those solos where you spend weeks trying to nail every section, surpassing frustration and forgetting where one lick is in relation to the other. I can't wait!

Wow!! Thank you for posting this. Great playing. Great tabs. Great camera showing all the craziness going on with the left hand. This has always been my favorite Ozzy and Randy song. Randy’s solos and runs showcase his classical training. I’ve chipped away at this song for years but never got some of the complexities that your post very clearly illustrates. Thank you!

The Never ending Story--just the same as the day as I first heard this ,still moving ,still makes your mind wander, and make sense in the truest form. Incredible composition

Great job! Ur an amazing player! I love the note by note tutorial! I wish this type of instruction was around 20 yrs ago when I had all day to play. Now I'm lucky to get an hour in a day.

Keep in mind he was 22 years old when he wrote those songs. He was ahead his time.

I listen to the guitar-isolated track no less than 3 times a week. One of the all-time great guitar compositions. RIP Randy, gone too soon :(
