This is one of the first songs my son learned on his guitar. He played by ear. He had a wonderful gift. Any instrument he could play. I lost him to a car accident in 2014. Today he would be 24 yrs old. He played this song for me all the time.

Along with providing equipment to the local government for their own building projects. That left us a bit to busy to go on any blood thirsty killing runs...

I lost my father back in 2002. It was one of the hardest things Ive ever experienced growing up as a child. I’ll never forget my mother’s expression. My sister’s screams, and the overall sadness I’ve experienced. I’m 29 years old now, with a good job, dating, and all that. I still have these feelings…I miss you so much dad.

I also lost my mom to cervical cancer, earlier last year. she suffered unimaginably. i was her caregiver at our home and she died in my arms as i lifted her up to give her pain meds. death itself had to go through me to take her. it crushed my heart every day to see her slowly wither away. she suffered greatly and sacrificed so much in this life. there is no recovering from this. all you can do is learn to move forward.

[Verse 1] Times have changed and times are strange Here I come, but I ain't the same Mama, I'm coming home Time's gone by, it seems to be You could have been a better friend to me Mama, I'm coming home [Pre-Chorus] You took me in and you drove me out Yeah, you had me hypnotized, yeah Lost and found and turned around By the fire in your eyes [Verse 2] You made me cry, you told me lies But I can't stand to say goodbye Mama, I'm coming home I could be right, I could be wrong It hurts so bad, it's been so long Mama, I'm coming home [Pre-Chorus] Selfish love, yeah, we're both alone The ride before the fall, yeah But I'm gonna take this heart of stone I've just got to have it all [Chorus] I've seen your face a hundred times Every day we've been apart I don't care about the sunshine, yeah 'Cause Mama, Mama, I'm coming home I'm coming home [Guitar Solo] [Pre-Chorus] You took me in and you drove me out Yeah, you had me hypnotized, yeah Lost and found and turned around By the fire in your eyes [Chorus] I've seen your face a thousand times Every day we've been apart I don't care about the sunshine, yeah 'Cause Mama, Mama I'm coming home I'm coming home I'm coming home I'm coming home

Idk who needs to hear this but God put it on my heart to say this. When I was 2 years old I was diagnosed with kidney cancer. Every doctor my parents took me to said I was colicky. God lead us to a doctor at childrens hospital and he diagnoses me with kidney cancer. I had a wilms tumor on my left kidney the size of a softball. I went through chemothereapy and eventually got my kidney removed. I've been cancer free for 12 years! I've also been saved since i was 8. Al we have to do to be saved is ask and mean it from our heart and we will go to heaven when we die. If you remember anything that I'm saying let it be that all we have to do to be saved is ask and that god loves you and so do i! Idk who needed to hear this but God put it on my heart to say this. If anyone needs any prayers just reply to my comment. God loves you and so do I God bless you all!

This is the song my son said he was going to play for his Step Dad and I, once we regained custody of him, which happened very soon after.... We lost his Step Dad to Cancer in 2016 and my son feels as tho he's lost his Best Friend..... Today is my son's Birthday and he is in a terrible struggle with Addiction, I do not even recognize him anymore 😢... I hardly hear from him or even know if he's 'Alive'... I will, however, as I do EVERY YEAR post a Happy Birthday wish with a song attached in the hopes he sees it and knows how much I LOVE him.....😢😢😢

Cathy I to lost my son. He was killed in a car accident when he was 17. He was a passenger with his friends. I feel your pain. My son could play any instrument. The first song he played for me was Mama I'm coming home. He has been gone now for 9 years. For some reason I took it so hard on his birthday this year, 1/18. He would of been 27. I feel your pain and I'm praying for you and your son. I hope my prayers help. Life is to short. I'm praying God removes his addiction. I too, once was an addict. I so hope he gets your messages and comes home to you. ❤️

@@paulaking9878 Thank You Paula, and my Sincere Apologies for your loss...I can't imagine the pain, and forget anyone saying that it gets easier cuz it doesn't...Grief is Very Real and it never truly goes away. I think that our brains are just "Hardwired" into thinking that we have to 'Shut those True Feelings off' at some point...easier said than done right? The toughest thing that I'm challenged with is that not only is my son an Addict, but his sister also (my only 2 kids) It's like I have this dillusion that, somehow, me, their MOM, can fix it for them but then I get back to "Reality" and remember the days when I, myself, struggled with an Addiction to "Prescribed" pain medication for years (I was functioning and my Dr. prescribed them so I was in COMPLETE DENIAL) and I knew that the ONLY way I was gunna get "FIXED" is if I "FIXED" myself, which, but by The Grace of God, I did 🙏👍🙂 That was about 9 years ago.... It's so hard to watch my kids suffer, knowing there's nothing I can do to help them. I just put it in God's Hands and I continue to pray for them and ANYONE ELSE that suffers with this that God Armour them with His Strength and Tenacity so that they can withstand Evil each and every day 🙏.... Thank You, again, Paula, for your kind words of support and I pray your boy Continues to Rest in the Sweetest Peace in Paradise..🙏🫂🕊 God Bless

My step father died ten years ago. This was his favorite song we were going to play it while they were taking the casket out after the funeral. Something happened and when Amazing Grace was supposed to play, in the middle of the funeral, this came on as we all looked around and started smiling we knew he was there with us. Every time I hear this song I think of that moment, and the best man I knew.

My dad had a very rough childhood. He lost his dad as an infant. He watched his mom get beaten by multiple men she dated. She died before I was born. As a result of his rough childhood (I presume), my dad was an alcoholic. He was a loving father, but he struggled with alcoholism, which ultimately led to his death 10 years ago. He was only 53. I can remember him playing this song when I was young. When I hear it now it makes me think this song made him think of his mom. He's home with his mom now; in heaven or wherever our spirits go when we pass. Happy birthday dad. I miss you.

I cried to this as a child riding with my dad. He lost his mother from cancer and i felt his sorrow. He is my might and calmness in chaos.

I watch the Osbournes podcast. Sharon said , " Ozzy wrote that song for me." He agreed that he had. It was a beautiful moment between them. They have a deep and true love. ❤❤❤
