Animation-wise, this anime is among the crème of the crop. Super smooth, super cute, super detailed, you can tell the love it went into doing this adaptation. Story-wise It's also above a lot of other slice-of-life anime, the main premise is super out there, but the way it's handled and the different situations that stem from it are totally wholesome and relatable, with a little spiciness here and there

Also manga reader here. And also spoilers . . . . . So, the drug actually lasts for a month at least, but if the body experiencing certain stress, such as a cold, the body would be able to overcome the drug temporally. When the huge stress is over, the cold subsided/cured, the drug will overpower the body once again. And yes, the drug also affects girls and gives them quite an effect indeed.

Typical plot points for such stories to work. The parents will never return. Looks like it's been 3+ years since they stepped foot in their home. 1) How to explain it to parents. 2) Neither of them seem to miss the parents. 3) The other girl's parents are seen. 4) Its a comedy. 5) What if Mahiro decides to stay a girl?

While in my case, I'd like to think that Mihari is both glad but with little guilt. Since past Mahiro's been leeching the family for like 2 years without any income or education. Add that with Mihari getting approval by her university to use the drug to her brother. Though she will not see her brother like how he, or now she used to be before (or at least until the gender swapping drug wears off). She'd have to take the role of the big sister instead of being a little sister now. With how brocon she is, there's might be some guilt injected there.

@@sovest555 Mahiro's male parts come back at certain points in the story. It specifically only happens when the drugs effect is wearing off. Mihari keeps some on her when they travel as a precaution. Which she wouldn't have to do if it was permanent.

Seriously now that you mention it ... she is really hella evil doesnt matter what her real intentions would be. As road to hell is paved with good intentions. There is reason why all medicine has to undergo clinical tests for years and EVEN then it sometimes turn later it still wasn't tested enough. History proven this many times. Now I understand this is sci fi anime, but still principle is same.
