Part I
Every year during the Holidays we try and do a Southwest Tour. We head east for Christmas with the dogs in tow for family time in Mesa (Phoenix) Arizona. We get rain nearly all through the southwest and for several days after. The high country got lots of snow. We visit Goldfield Ghost Town and Mine in Apache Junction Arizona for some entertainment and fresh air.
Our intention was to head over to Cloudcroft New Mexico for a few nights but our dogs had other plans for us...
Our next leg (and video) of our Southwestern United States tour is up to Flagstaff Arizona. We found a nice dog friendly hotel along Historic Route 66 only minutes to downtown where we are spending New Years.
