Waseem Ali I think it was more her interview that she didn’t get the offer from rather than her grades. She was already predicted 3A*s and still didn’t get the offer

@Will Phillips you can appreciate the rest of the world while also remaining in a union. While I do believe remaining in the EU wouldve been a better idea, I have always believed that the UK needed to form political bonds with other countries so that we would no longer be so dependent on one continent. many of thhe drawbacks the UK is facing right now, I believe, are formed from not investing enough in other countries. Hopefully, we begin to see benefits from leaving that will help to cover how much the lower class may suffer from leaving.

I can see where you're coming from mate! I think a vote on the terms of Brexit would be a democratic way to let the people decide what they want to do. The problem right now is we don't actually know what the voters wanted out of Brexit. We don't know which bit the majority of them actually voted for or what they expected out of Brexit. Furthermore, a lot of reminers such as yourself have changed their minds and could get a chance at getting the Brexit they want rather than the Brexit Theresa May will inevitably mess up.

I’m holding an offer from Ox to read Law from October, and my advice to you would be take ANY opportunity that may come your way in terms of outreach - Sutton Trust Programme, Clifford Chance do a Prime scheme that offers work experience, UNIQ at Oxford (I’m also sure Cambridge offer summer schools) and anything else you can find!! Good luck for results day and your alevels - they are hard! Don’t give up and look after your mental health too x

Hi Eve! Oxford has always seemed (and still seems) like a place I would never be able to reach, because of my mediocre grades (3A*s, 2As, 3Bs for GCSEs) and I was really gutted when I received those grades this year. Hopefully (along with motivation from you AND Jade hehe I love your friendship) I'll be able to set my mind to my academics in Year 12! Thanks for inspiring x

Isabelle Warren gcses don’t matter as much as soon as you do A Levels so focus on those and don’t get bummed down by those grades which are still amazing

Please don’t call your grades mediocre, they’re still very good. A levels are way more important than GCSEs, so focus on smashing them and you’ll still have a chance

Isabelle Warren I didn’t apply to Oxford but the best advice I can give to get into a good uni is to focus on getting the best grades possible but also do extra curriculars! The Duke of Edinburgh award is really worth it especially if you do the gold, and getting a part time job also shows initiative! EPQ is good as well if your school offers it.

Those grades are not mediocre and you know it. You didn’t get lower than a B, how is that average/ okay. You got really good grades. It just sounds as if you only said it to show off your grades, I’m guessing that weren’t your intentions, but it’s come across that way imo.

Gemma Norfolk you can apply to both uni and apprenticeships so you dont have to decide until you are nearing the end of year 13 :) see if you can do any progression schemes or marketing courses at unis near u and see if its suitable for you, or even work experience, hope this helps x
