126 years earlier in 1877 my ancestor George Latham Davis was the Cambridge Boat crews cox. It was declared a dead heat! George was a Barrister.
Brings it all back. What a day.

Good book to read is Blood Over Water. Written by David and James Livingston (Oxford 6 and Cambridge 7 respectively) and is about THIS RACE
