Carrese or the "Running of the wagons" is a race between two or more wagons pulled by pairs of oxen that takes place every year in the Lower Molise in the municipalities of San Martino in Pensilis, Portocannone, Ururi (all in the province of Campobasso) and Molise out in Chieuti. April 30, 2016 in San Martino in Pensilis this happened: commentary by an arrival :) The Carrese takes place in conjunction with the celebrations for the town's patron saint, St. Leo (2 May 2016). The wagons are distinguished by the colors: white and blue that of "youth", yellow and red that of the "youngsters" and yellow and green that of the "young", which this year but did not compete for bureaucratic reasons (there a huge organization and control!).
