I don’t own a blueberry farm but I do own one blueberry bush, this video made me want to buy an Oxbo Harvester for that one bush.

I walked behind those last summer, filling buckets with clusters of ripe blueberries they missed on the plants while stepping on loads of berries they dropped. They scarred the bark on the bases of many plants as well. Do better! John Deere has developed optical guided mechanical picking fingers for other crops that don't depend on randomly beating the plants. Time to go for the clusters of the individual berries. The best improvement I saw was the covered work platform so the stackers don't get roasted by the sun.

I was wondering how raspberry bushes were configured and harvested. In their natural, sprawling, winding state, it'd be quite impractical. It's like nature's barbed wire fence.

i like this harvester machine solely because it offers farmers a way to not enslaving poor labours

I don't like putting pickers and sorters out of work but I would rather have an Oxbo Machine pick, sort and clean the berries I purchase. With the hand picking method there are too many hands on the berries. I did not see any washing off the pesticides and herbicides either.

Much better to have it harvested by machine than by people. It's back-breaking work and the pay isn't enough to live on.

Is that true blueberries growing requires a shade place and not in direct sun? I bought a blueberry tree from OSH, and the gardener at OSH told me to put it in a shade spot; but i forgot and i plant it in the full sun, it died a few weeks later?

K M ....the true blueberry bush requires shade & grows low to the ground....what are called “ blue berry” trees are really a variety of honey suckle originating from north east Asia....these “blue berries” are grown in Canada for export to Japan under the name Haslap berries!

The sun shade the grower has is from John Deere, but the machine is definitely an Oxbo!

@@Bernie5172 I grew 8 acres of Wilamette raspberries near Ballarat Victoria, birds were never a problem, the biggest problem was wind, raspberries will not produce good quantity crops if the growing plant is shaken by wind, one of my areas was well protected from wind and produced extremely well but the unsheltered area was hardly worth harvesting

Оксбо ће да те кошта минимално 120 хиљада евра, ако нађеш полован. Мада све ту зависи од модела, конфигурације итд. Има старијих Корван модела по 70 хиљада или Литау за 70-80 хиљада. Код нас их нема, можеш евентуално да увезеш неки из иностранства (претпостављам да је папирологија хаос) или да на неком пољопривредном сајму видиш да ли неко хоће да ти помогне да увезеш. Генерално нема много смисла куповати ако не радиш веће површине, десетине или стотине хектара. Чилеански узгајивачи иду и на преко 1000 хектара. Сумњам да код нас неки појединац толико има под малинама, али ако се скупе газде малинари из једног села, претпостављам да могу да скупе потребну површину и новац за тако неку машину и да им се исплати. Ne isplati se to kupovati u Srbiji,razumem u evropi gde po 100 grama malina dobijes 2 e ,a kod nas je trenutno 1kg 80 rsd....

Нигде се за 100 грама не добија 2 евра. То је малопродајна цена у продавници. Пољопривредник у Европи добија између 1 и 1.2 евра по килограму. Малопродаја наплаћује онолико за колико сматра да може да прода. Али пољопривредник није ништа бољи - наизглед је цена за неких 50% већа, али им је и производња далеко скупља од наше, радник више кошта итд. Тако да дођемо на исто, ми са наших 80 и кусур по килограму и рецимо Пољак који је продаје за 130 по килограму. Свуда слушам исту причу, зар је могуће да ви људи не разликујете малопродају и примарну производњу?

Никуя не понятно, но интересно
