0-60 mph in 4.9 seconds- 'slow!' How FAST do people actually need to go? The aesthetics of the V8 Vantage are stunning- really beautiful, and well proportioned.

I have nearly owned my ‘06 Vantage for the same amount of time… however, mine ticks too and I have been told by mechanics that it is nothing to worry about unless the sound drives me crazy. With that said, I must have missed the cars you’re after potentially? I am also a new dad. So congratulations and great review!

Very kind and congratulations on becoming a dad. As for the noise, the the Ferrari Center said the same thing, the engine was perfect just a “can you live with it” question. As for the next car here is the blog - vint-tro.com/petrolhead-vs-family/ . A car is missing from the list, since the blog a 991 911 turbo s could be another contender.

great video, you should not have trouble selling the car, however, this sort of vehicle, is ideally suited to someone whos looking for long term ownership, that being said, when ones young, and a new addition arrives, peoples circumstances can change, and sacrifices need to be made unfortunately, im tempted in this myself, as its a coin flick between the DB9 and the V8 Vantage, im still pretty much undecided right now, but i will be keeping my eye on this, thanks

yes, that color is very nice. mine is, IMO, the darker and less attractive meteorite silver. and it's no wonder previous owners did not sort the knocking noise. maintenance staff in general are well-versed in making excuses as to why client's problems that would involve free service are in the client's imaginations.

I like the darker grey, works better if your want to add black accents. I heard it all, the delivery driver who use to work on Astons, Aston engineer and the garage. In the end I knew something wasn’t right.

These cars get such a terrible reputation for being unreliable. This statement couldn't be any further from the truth. Aston Martin vantages are truly hand built cars with so much attention to detail put into every point of driver to vehicle contact(areas that a driver will come into contact with and or view/see/notice upon every transaction made with the vehicle). They're far more reliable than any BMW M car or Mercedes Benz AMG you could EVER buy. I've owned many, and my AM V8V has had legitimately NO issues in comparison. Considering I'm 1 of the few ppl who actually put real milage on it. An by milage, I mean a shit load more than the avg 1-2k per yr that seems to be the avg these cars see across North America. Instead I've put an avg of between 5k to 10k miles per year since I've purchased it. Hands dowm best car I've ever owned. Treat it right, don't be afraid to perform ur own maintenance and sit back an enjoy the smiles per gallon(also gets same milage as my w204 C63AMG AND my e90 S65M3) and the non stop looks u get from everyone u pass everywhere u go.

Beautiful car and amazing colour but you didn't give much detail about the mechanics, for example I believe these cars only get about 10 mpg and the clutch is allegedly very heavy and expensive to replace, also parts for these cars are overly expensive. These cars are so much better looking than say a Porsche but I'm sitting on the fence whether to buy one or not.

Why that music in the background while you are talking? I will never understand why people do that. Do you think the background music makes your video more 'entertaining' etc.? Are you after clicks/likes? Or is your main purpose to convey a message with substance to people interested in finding out more about these cars? If the latter, the background music is utterly superfluous and just sucks.
