Anthem is kind of like a "resort community". Perfect for a second home; especially for those who live in the cold country

Great points to consider! I think the pressure to feel like the vacation home is the only option for a vacation would be a little stressful....like you HAVE to get your “money’s worth.”

I agree! I know that we aren't in a spot where I could comfortably own a vacation home and feel comfortable travelling to other places.... maybe one day, but for now there are so many places I would love to see! :)

I think that would be my main worry, I would never want to leave and go back home to my regular house! Arizona is definitely one of the areas I'd consider owning a vacation home, or Portugal, where my family is from!

How about income tax effects of owning a vacation home? Especially if I am from california and I plan to one day own a vacation home in Hawaii?
