I live in Tasmania, and there are some boobook owls that are reside on our bush block with us, and they're a similar size to the saw whet owl, thank you for showing the little owls. Cheers!

The saw whet owl, it’s left eye doesn’t look right. He’s squinting it quite a bit. You could definitely tell the difference in the two eyes. The right one is normal. I think it could have used a few more days of TLC, but Martin is the expert so he knows what he is doing. I’ve watched him for many years and I’m still amazed by how well he’s worked wonders. Wonderful guy! And Susan works her wonders too, she takes wonderful care of all the little critters that come through!😊😊

Although the Saw Whet was eating and moving around well indoors, we took him out for a test flight in one of our outdoor chambers. He was still having some balance issues, so he has to say a little longer until he is 100% ready for release.

It's cruel to keep these birds in your cages. Be they ambassadors or not, you're doing a bad thing locking them up. The same will happen to you in time.
