Nice flight report, the cabin crew are friendly. I hope the dude who got off the plane due to the weight issue gets upgraded to first class in the next flight.

Great trip report, fantastic service by the crew. Thanks Jayden.
Good on the poor dude for taking it in his stride, I hope he got upgraded to first on the very next flight. Great report Jayden, can't wait for next thursday!!!!
I feel like overweight planes have become quite a stereotype of the US recently. Good on the guy for taking one for the team, I hope he was rewarded appropriately. Great review mate!

Can we talk about the beautifulness of the blonde cabin crew 😍🥰😂
that male flight attendant is cute 😍
Always gonna appreciate your content you give to us mate !! Hope you enjoy your future upcoming trip reports bro 😎
That male flight attendant is the BEST AA attendant!!! He is always so kind and gives amazing service!! Nobody can match his energy & love for the job!!!❤️💙🤍

Hi Jayden. Firstly, kudos to the passenger who decided to leave the flight so the plane was back to an acceptable weight to fly. It makes one realise just how exacting the ratios are for planes to actually take off and achieve flight ! For a business class flight, the lack of a "real meal" totally sux ! But I guess you filled up on all those mugs of tea 😂 Great to see cabin staff, who a both friendly and proactive !
hey jayden i really liked this video
Best TR in a long time Mr Wong, and not only for making me miss Boston, my last pre-Covid overseas destination. So much so familiar there! Apart from that weight related departure delay, it looked like a perfectly OK flight, although I've had more food on JetBlue (but paid a similar fare for a smaller seat). The ORD lounge looked great, and the service seemed amazing.
God this American blond flight attendant is soooo handsome 😀
Thanks for visting my home city of Chicago, Jayden! My cousins have gone to Europe on United Airlines' Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner.
Awesome that your loyal Patreon helped make this flight possible for you and your Cousin!!! You had me at "Champagne Bar" in the lounge that's my kind of place. Honestly your experience on this flight despite no hot meal was top notch, the Cabin Crew impressive. "Looking for weed" 🤣 always a laugh to be had with your Cousin. Thanks for sharing 👍

Yep we are so grateful, also met so many subscribers on this trip which was fun. I actually looked up the bin on Google, it's a Chicago O'hare airport thing, giving people last chance to toss it away before they fly with the weed because it's illegal haha
Very nice ! 👍
I flew on that plane 2 times in a row. Nice video man😄✈️
2:52 that AA E170 looks so cute.🤣
Great video mate, bought back so many great memories from Boston. I think AA gets a bad rap for no reason. They're pretty good and I don't mind not having an IFE screen on a domestic flight.
Hey Jaden I love your videos I’m from Adelaide to, hope to see you around
Loving the pink nails on the flighty 😁
Fantastic trip Report!! I’ll be flying AA for the first time in 13 years in a couple months also in first class.
i love the quirky funny things you say in your video clips. like at the start *you both smashed the food, not leaving anything behind* 🤣😂 on the brekky menu i noticed one that said: Steak tips and eggs. I thought it was a misprint and should have read steak chips and eggs,. Any idea what steak tips are ? the service from the flight attendant was fantastic, all those drinks.. nice. and i must say the guy that you and your cuz had.. was CUTE as, and i agree... had a great smile :) thanks for showing us what Boston looks like :)
Great video! it's unfortunate that he had to get off

Another interesting video Jayden. When you mentioned "overweight" I was thinking how Air NZ will cope with its Skynest product (it awaits regulatory approval) when a passenger is rather heavy.
Mmmm. Think the handsome flight attendant may have liked your smile Jayden. 😃 What a lovely attendant. Boston looks very pretty. That lounge buffet was absolutely awesome 👌 Great review!! 👍

very few airlines on their narrow bodied planes like this 737 install IFE's. Costs and weighs too much, plus most have a device to keep them occupied for short flights
Your guys cabin crew attendant hes so handsome 😍
I'm flying AA in First next week from ORD-PSP. The flight offers a breakfast in First which I have already pe-ordered. Has AA brought back American Way magazine? I'm old school so I've missed seeing it during the last couple years of Covid when they pulled it.

Why did he get removed from the flight
I can’t see how removing 1 person could do much for the weight issue
i think maybe for local American pax, they are very much ok to see more male cabin crew wearing a nail paint/polish, but it will take some times for international pax outside of the US to get use with this new environment...

The passenger who you say got kicked off you are wrong they offered him accommodation or a business class seat on next flight you should know that I am ex airline employee so I will be watching you lol 😆
I don’t get it. If a 737 with this configuration is too heavy, how does Ryanair manage to fly with almost 30 more passengers on board?
@charlesjay8818
2 жыл бұрын
alot of people with Ryanair don't check in a bag as they have to pay extra, with AA being a national airline, you get free checked in bag, so i'm guessing most people will checkin a bag as there is no penalty Plus your average American is probably a little heavier lol
@JaydenWong
2 жыл бұрын
Yes Agree with Charles, and they probably also had some cargo loaded on this plane. Things like milk, wine etc can add a lot of weight
Hopefully the passengers clapped for the selfless decision the man made after he left than the fact that a man with a weight issue just exited.
offloaded pax may be compensated with a whopping usd10k
👍👍👍👍👍
Have to wonder what repercussions the flight attendant will be in for when management finds out he told passengers that Qantas was better. Ouch!
Was the offloaded passenger offered compensation, and if so, what is the industry standard?
@JaydenWong

Possibly AA travel credit- he may have bid at check in. And maybe upgrade on the next available flight?
Great vid🙌🏽. Why do US-carriers promote it as First Class on domestic routes, when it’s not more then a Business Class seat as most?, in EU and Asia standard
@alexmcwhirter6611
2 жыл бұрын
It's been that way for many years. In truth F class on US domestic flights is used for upgrades/redeeming FFP miles etc. I doubt if many travellets pay 'real money' for domestic F class.
@brianking768
2 жыл бұрын
History and naming conventions are your answer. Prior to the 1970s, there were just two classes of service - First and Coach. The First Class seat then used was closer to the current US domestic First seat. With domestic travel in the US, the names just haven’t changed with the premium cabin labeled First. Wide body international travel evolved with much better seats in First. As the international seats got better and better, they slotted in Business and Premium Economy each time selecting a seat that was close to the old standard US Domestic First seat. With American Airlines currently, the First seat seen on this video is the same seat used for Premium Economy on its wide body fleet. An oddity is that when a domestic plane is used internationally, they don’t call the product First, they call it Business. Really it comes down to what the customers expect. In the US customers expect this kind of seat for domestic travel when the product is labeled First as that’s what has been offered historically. To an American, the real shock is to see what is labeled Business class on intra-European flights - 29” pitch and a blocked middle.
@alexmcwhirter6611

@@brianking768 Thank you for the detailed reply. Yes business class within Europe has been critised ever since it was introduced 40 years ago. TK is one exception today. Both Swissair (not Swiss) and KLM once tried to provide proper wide seating years ago but it failed and they brought back what we have today. One problem with a fixed cabin and wider seating is that airlines cannot cope with the differing load factors. But in any case far fewer corporate customers book business class today as that 'Saturday night' rule no longer applies for the cheaper fares.
@JaydenWong

Yes thanks Brian King. Trains in Hong Kong are the same. Standard cabin and first class only, when first class is really just like Jetstar economy class!

Curious to know how they determine who to "bump?" Or do they just ask for volunteers? (and I am assuming they got him onto the next flight - and compensated him)

I find it funny that United gets ragged on for using plastic cups for first class PFBs, and yet when AA does the same thing, they don't get as much criticism

01:15 I remember going through this corridor at ORD when transiting there in 2015 06:13 Hahahaha 🤣 06:37 That's very generous of that passenger volunteering to get off the plane, though the plane itself being overweight is something that you would never want to hear onboard
