Because of his MMR. He is supposed to be at 3300 SR but it decayed to 3000 because he was away. The game knows that his skill belongs to a better rank so it makes him loose less SR and gain more. You can look that up.

Lucas Williams he wont, unless he wins another 180 games, or gets to master and wins another 100 games, he wont have enough Being diamond gives you 1200 at the end of the season, master will give you 2000 whilst grandmaster will give you 3000
