Zylbrad actually said it best why his games were so good despite the disruption of being drunk: His team played around him. Unless you're top 500 or pro gamer level, a Bastion pick is really not "end of the world" by itself as long as the team knows how to play around it, hell Bastion even gets used at the pro level in tournaments from time to time. The way Tyrodin plays is more effective and overall will get you to a higher SR, but Brad doesn't care so much about SR, he got masters and just didn't bother anymore, he wants to have fun, and that he had.

I feel ya mate. I started my placements from season 2 as 60 points away from platinum, when I placed this season I was barely silver. I even had significantly better performance too.

Hemingway, one of the greatest writers in history, only wrote while very intoxicated. He created brilliant works while absolutely hammered. I'm starting to see that Brad could be the Hemingway of overwatch.

I highly doubt you get 3+ gold medals every game, there have been plenty of cases that say if you do that well, you'll place at or higher than your last season final. This was my first season, I got 1-2 golds per game (DC'd from a game meaning no stats at all that game) and got high gold, also people like IDDQD placing exactly where he should despite terrible W/L ratios (high GM/top 500). Bottomline, if you're really as good as you say you are, you should be able to climb to your deserved rank with ease, so stop complaining and instead be glad for the easy comp points you get for lower ranked wins.

This video inspired me to do comp for the first time ever. Did my placement matches drunk during New Years. My sorority sisters watched on and made sexual noises into my mic during matches when I tried to communicate with my team. Was so ready for my bronze. Got high plat. My nickname is now MLG. Zylbrad you ruined my fucking reputation.

Nobody still knows that it's based off Season 2 rank, apparently.

Yea, funny to see people go "omg my team sucked I lost so many games durr SR got dragged down by team" when having bad teammates actually helps you maintain or even go above your season 2 SR...

I got Silver... I wish I had a group to work with: maining rein only gets me so far in matches, since its up to the random teammates to determine my rank: I can only kill so many.

its based off mmr. They wont have top 500 people in gold and they dont want gold people in masters. What they have going on rn is nice. Imo a little to easy to rank up rn

Season 3 is not a clean slate. your history in seasons before matters alot more since in season 3 they try to sync your rank with your MMR.

The ad I got for this video was Smirnoff so I think that is quite fitting

MLGbruh IsMLG I think they didn't like the high amount of goods compared to bronzes and silvers, so they are being a bit harsher season 3

MLGbruh IsMLG it's cause it's ranking system is like Leagues. They want to make sure you deserve your rank, so they put you a bit lower than you were last season to make ya work for it.
