When you think about it, it parallels the civil rights movement. MLK strived for equality peacefully and was ultimately assassinated for his peaceful agenda. Then Malcom X takes the reigns of the movement and encourages to people to act out with violence in order to achieve equality. MLK is similar to Mondatta, and Malcom X is similar to Ramattra (not tryna call him a villain, but similar perspective).

They did do a World of Warcraft movie from what I remember a few years back, but then again, a movie isn’t an animated series. That was the closest we’ve ever been though to a series from Blizzard

Blizzard needs to make this an animated series. Overwatch, Diablo, StarCraft, you name it. I believe they’ll find more success if they pursue that path

I think it’s more likely that Widow and Sombra are there to either kill Zen or capture him. We know Talon and Rammatra are working together and I don’t think Ram would kill Zen unless he had no other option, they were together at the monastery as brothers after all.

I think talon is trying to manipulate Null sector and Rammatra as widow did kill his master which most likely lead to his current state to vengeance For omnic kind. If you deal with his brother and then blame it on overwatch, then he will go beserk on his attempts.

Most likely he gets sent to prison For life/dies in fight against doomfist or he gets beaten before that point. Also I think that we will see sombra helping us to some level. Sombra does manipulate literally everyone including Talon to gain knowledge + control over others.

I remember the original cutscenes from when they previewed the Rio mission at the Blizzcon where they announced Overwatch 2. They cut it off/left a cliffhanger when Lucio missed the jump. The way I just SHRIEKED with excitement when Brigitte caught him with her flail. Two of my favorite characters in the game.

@@Broockle I mean pvp is good enough but I was mainly talking about the pve side of things. It feels kinda weak in a way. Ai in it is kinda bland. The rio mission as example. In it you go in fight ai that barely can do a Damn against you. You enter their ship destroy it and leave. It does not help that I played it some years ago at blizzcon. Second mission starts with pretty boring protect ship. Followed by escort mission.and finally the 3rd mission. Which was the best of them. In it you go thru the city making defences against the enemy which is escorting a cart. But the second part Where you return to torbs workshop is Where the mission gets good enough. In it you defend as the big weapon is warming up and you defend it using moveable turrets. You deal with the 4 or so waves of enemies using them and your own teams powers. Yeah the monetization is Also really bad and heavy cash grab due to needing to pay For everything. Yes you do get tokens and such every so often but the rate you get them is bad. Also you do get the new heroes after the current season ends From their own challenges but at that point the hero is either weak or balanced (Looking at you lifeweaver). And what makes the monetization even worse is that the people who originally owned ow 1 cant get skins no more as easily as before as no more free lootboxes or leveling.

I watched all the cutscenes in a video yesterday. Doesn't even really have story. The Sojourn stuff was by far the coolest imho 😆 "Monetization bad for needing to pay for everything..." If I had to guess like less than 10% of game profit actually gets reinvested into the game development. The bulk of it all ends up with the COs and shareholders and Bobby Kodick. I dun wanna give those people any money. They live in a fantasy world where they can cut every corner imaginable and they still bank. U can grab the heroes for free smh? w8 wut?

Some of the devs were fed up with how Activision Blizzard is turning OW2 into a cash cow, so seeing a chance to vent. They probably took it

4:22 is where I actually cried happily playing this for the first time myself playing this game for 8 years. I've been a Lucio main for those years and hearing the most iconic line delivered in such a genuine setting made me so fulfilled. My guy is finally part of something much larger, and it's amazing to see him join OW officially! I may not like the way this game handled this situation on the promises they made years ago not being followed, but I'm glad they treated the story with some level of proper care.

I got terrified in the Zenyatta cutscene The second I saw Sombra’s purple shoes, I got very scared Talon and Null Sector are after Zenyatta, guess he’s complicating Ramattra’s message, I wanna see a cutscene of Talon’s agents attempting to take Zenyatta by force, and him handling them with ease, only to be blinded by Ramattra’s appearance, being overwhelmed, and ultimately evading capture with Overwatch’s help

I could not stress this enough. If only Overwatch receives LoL's Arcane treatment and be given an animated series instead of OW 2, the franchise could literally be resurrected and take off. Weekly episodes, synchronized with monthly PvE contents once in a while, Overwatch could have been a huge franchise. With a vast and colorful lore, a team of animators and writers who don't miss... we could have had it all. But no. They went with the decision of making OW 2. I always feel like OW 2 is a shower/before bed idea that one of the Blizzard/Activision higher ups/execs came up with and would force it to the OW developer team. The decision feels so, so, impulsive and reckless. This might have been the reason why Jeff left in the first place. I'm hurt that this franchise I have loved for 7 years fell off. But I am far more hurt and disappointed knowing that OW could have been the greatest franchise with so much potential, only to fail.

It's nice to finally see the "overwatch" portion from Overwatch.

Thank you for uploading the cutscenes, i'm not giving blizzard money for lack luster, incomplete, gameplay content.

Still pisses me off that this story content is what they marketed for OW2 in the first place, and then cut nearly 80% of it and delayed it for almost a year and a half after it released. What’s worse is that the story itself seems like it could be solid! How they managed to bungle this so badly I’ll never know

Was I the only one that was hoping for solider 76 to just stroll in when they said they needed someone with more tactical outlook

All they have to do is make this an animated series no PvE, just straight cinematic it’s been this way since Ow 1. These stories are too good to not be told man.

Even if I don't play OW2 anymore (because of reasons), those cinematics still give me chills.

This seems like they put all the voice lines together and just had everyone play their lines one after another. Seems robotic, the dialogue doesn't flow.

The ship boarding scene is so good. All of them cooperating in interesting ways to ensure save passage aboard

Am I the only one who'd have preferred a story set during the first Omni Crisis? To be fair, it'd probably make for a better TV show anyway.

They really do need to make an animated show of this like I would watch this almost every single day this is awesome 🎉 😅.

I absolutely love bastion and Ganymede. I also love bastion and torbjörns whole relationship. Its like torb treats bastion like a son and thats just adorable

I like how they've established that Omnics are not only fully sentient beings, but also only have one life. You kill one, they're gone forever. And then launch a campaign when you massacre hundreds of them like they're nothing. How cute

There's a difference between Omnics (robots that were around during the Omnic crisis and were given sentience) and robots. We only kill robots in the campaign. (I don't blame you for not knowing this, cus its a throwaway line if you happen to have Rein on your team in mission 1). When Ramattra says that they're a single generation race, he means that they cannot be born or created. Every single omnic killed is an act of genocide. And somehow Ramattra is the bad guy. Lmao.

Playing the PvE and seeing these cutscenes for myself made me hate Blizzard even more for reducing Overwatch to something that feeds their greed. The characters are so full of life and personality, and it's so hype seeing them finally progress the current story forward. All I could think about was how much more amazing this game couldv'e been if it weren't for Blizzard's greed and lack of respect for the community.

Overwatch got more of my attention now with a story campaign game, this wht i like bout games n overwatch has it aswell as more development on the lore, if they do this more often n give more campaigns than i might take this game as one of the best🗿🍷
