I realise festool provides a travelling stand that folds up for easy fold away Transport, but is there any reason not to purchase the smaller MFT as shown instead? At least on site the mft could be used for other uses where the saw stand can only be used for the saw? Also can you purchase just one of the extended legs instead of buying the pair? Thanks

Wings won't attach to the MFT/Kapex. They'll attach to the plastic kludge that comes with the mobile base.

Ya the wings need to be at the exact height of the saw. The table is designed shorter so the regular kapex sits on it and the wings attach directly. The Mobile base is a certified POS and should not be purchased. Exceptionally sloppy solution for what is an excellent saw
small and portable?? GLAD they provided a SYSTAINER like the Powered Festool Table Saw.
I would call it a folding stand - collapsing sounds a little dangerous
