is $25 a lot for a server at a restaurant? I take my family out for dinner and due to inflation it's anywhere from $80 to $100, the tip is $16 to $20, so making $25 an hour seems right? Do people really have a hard time doing that math?

It works, and only conservative and the wealthy will oppose, quoting freedom of choice, as they want to keep the working class on minimum wage. If you have a spare 8 hours in the week you might take on extra work to raise yourself out of the mire, and that is something they definitely don't want.

Can be done at certain restaurants but definitely not the norm as she tried to suggest. Bill does the same weekly when talking about the economy being in a good state based on stock market and jobs numbers. Ignoring the fact that the vast majority don’t have sizable holdings in stocks nor do they have jobs that as Rep. Mace suggested are easily available for $25 per hr. They both think their bubbles views are representative of the state of the majority of citizens Bill’s advice to us was “ CHEER THE FUCK UP ! “. Our advice to Bill is “ SHUT THE FUCK UP “ we don’t enjoy your life of privilege and financial security. So don’t think you are the one that is going to open our eyes to how great it is when you have no clue how tough it is in this economy for the vast majority. Really thought referencing a cheap flat screen tv was proof that the masses are spoiled & unappreciative. Most don’t spend much of their day in front of tv when working 2 jobs or more to make ends meet. They get their news & entertainment on the run mostly on mobile devices. The least the US can do is call out his horrible polices that lead to this war. The best is either yank his aid or put some strict conditions on it. George Carlin once stated that corporations own the government. This implies that in order for society to invest in human capital, which is necessary to prevent people from falling into a life of crime, corporations would have to influence the government that they own. The government should be incentivized to provide training, education, and a better environment for communities. However, corporations do not prioritize communities, and therefore, the government doesn't either. They only do enough to meet their minimum obligations, and as a result, the rich get richer, and the poor get poorer. Violence is used as a distraction because corporations want people to focus on that instead of the fact that they are the root of the problem that has afflicted our human society.

George Carlin “But there’s a reason. There’s a reason. There’s a reason for this, there’s a reason education sucks, and it’s the same reason that it will never, ever, ever be fixed. It’s never gonna get any better. Don’t look for it. Be happy with what you got. Because the owners of this country don't want that. I'm talking about the real owners now, the real owners, the big wealthy business interests that control things and make all the important decisions. Forget the politicians. The politicians are put there to give you the idea that you have freedom of choice. You don't. You have no choice. You have owners. They own you. They own everything. They own all the important land. They own and control the corporations. They’ve long since bought and paid for the senate, the congress, the state houses, the city halls, they got the judges in their back pockets and they own all the big media companies so they control just about all of the news and information you get to hear. They got you by the balls. They spend billions of dollars every year lobbying, lobbying, to get what they want. Well, we know what they want. They want more for themselves and less for everybody else, but I'll tell you what they don’t want: They don’t want a population of citizens capable of critical thinking. They don’t want well informed, well educated people capable of critical thinking. They’re not interested in that. That doesn’t help them. Thats against their interests. Thats right. They don’t want people who are smart enough to sit around a kitchen table to figure out how badly they’re getting fucked by a system that threw them overboard 30 fucking years ago. They don’t want that. You know what they want? They want obedient workers. Obedient workers. People who are just smart enough to run the machines and do the paperwork, and just dumb enough to passively accept all these increasingly shittier jobs with the lower pay, the longer hours, the reduced benefits, the end of overtime and the vanishing pension that disappears the minute you go to collect it, and now they’re coming for your Social Security money. They want your retirement money. They want it back so they can give it to their criminal friends on Wall Street, and you know something? They’ll get it. They’ll get it all from you, sooner or later, 'cause they own this fucking place. It's a big club, and you ain’t in it. You and I are not in the big club. And by the way, it's the same big club they use to beat you over the head with all day long when they tell you what to believe. All day long beating you over the head in their media telling you what to believe, what to think and what to buy. The table is tilted folks. The game is rigged, and nobody seems to notice, nobody seems to care. Good honest hard-working people -- white collar, blue collar, it doesn’t matter what color shirt you have on -- good honest hard-working people continue -- these are people of modest means -- continue to elect these rich cocksuckers who don’t give a fuck about them. They don’t give a fuck about you. They don’t give a fuck about you. They don't care about you at all -- at all -- at all. And nobody seems to notice, nobody seems to care. That's what the owners count on; the fact that Americans will probably remain willfully ignorant of the big red, white and blue dick that's being jammed up their assholes everyday. Because the owners of this country know the truth: it's called the American Dream, because you have to be asleep to believe it.” ― George Carlin

Apparently, without a single day in court, with only a meager amount of evidence, Sen Menedez is, in the court of public opinion, guilty as sin. But then bring up Trump, and all of a sudden, there's a nefarious plot from the Democrates to see this man is jail. Never mind the fact that 90% of the witnesses against him are Republicans. Never mind the fact that the very people are witnesses against him secretly recorded this man almost as if they knew he was committing a crime. Never mind the fact that there is overwhelming evidence against him. Trump is so blatant that his base has to judge his innocence on a curve (He shot and killed a man, but the victim had heart problems. The bullet couldn't have killed him because he probably died before impact)

I can see the argument against abortion in a lot of cases, but not all. There needs to be legal early abortion and exemptions made for special circumstances. The issue is rural areas can't support jobs with high wages. A lot of people work for small businesses. The amount of business even at the fast food chains is quite a bit lower than in the cities. Making it state wide would likely be a bad idea. Maybe if you had a progressive scale tied to the cost of living in an area, but even that might cause issues. It's probably best to mandate each local government to come up with a number and justify it.

The problem with going to less hours per week, is that it gives the employers the idea that maybe they don't need us at all. The truth is, we have to mandate 40 hours a week because originally employers felt they needed us 50 or more hours a week and we had to back them off of that. But now automation is endangering our jobs, and asking for less hours may just push the time scale up in which we all find ourselves unable to find jobs..If we pass this law, we should make sure its also accompanied by a law banning replacing the workers with automation in the work place.
