They definitely hunt wild Hogs In The US. They are feral and not native to here. If a domestic pig escapes they turn feral almost instantly.

Yes it’s like a were wolf transformation.
9:50 hogs are hunted from helicopters in Texas and wolves are hunted by helicopter in Alaska. Unsurprisingly, it's mainly because of the massive size of those two states.
@StfuFFS

@ggbh yeah, they are out of control. But the good news is they're also delicious.

@@kkandola9072 there are so many hogs in Southern California, I would suggest hunting there. Also, from what i recall before i left the Democratic Peoples Republic of California, you barely need a permit to take pigs. I know there was even discussion of paying hunters in San Bernardino County for left ears to try and reduce the numbers.

Funnily enough, the state where the emu war took place, Western Australia, is bigger than both of those states (3 and a half times bigger in the case of Texas).
@StfuFFS
2 жыл бұрын
@@user-xo2ix3pt7k and California, 6× smaller than Western Australia in area, has twice the population of the entire country of Australia. And New Jersey, the most densely populated state, has 4× the population of Western Australia despite being 117× smaller in area. Land area doesn't really mean much if it's only populated with spiders and kangaroos.
Mike is going to obliterate the contest with this one.
Do you really need to ask what country people hunt boars from helicopters? Has there ever been anything that sounds more American lol

@@hailejames2638 They’re an invasive pest species and are very dangerous. They’re destroying a lot of the ecology of the south around Texas and Louisiana etc. Outdoorsmen are usually more concerned with keeping the environment healthy, and in check, than people give them credit for - especially when people hear about shooting these things from helicopters. It’s not like you can just sneak up on thousands of destructive, feral boars with huge tusks lol.

@@hailejames2638 yeah! Let’s protect the pigs….and forget about all the other native animals that are going to die because of them. Seriously though, invasive species are dangerous to the ecosystem. They often times out compete native species driving them to extinction while growing in numbers do to not having any predators in the area. We see this in multiple locations in the states from pythons in the Everglades outcompeting and even killing the alligators to Asian carp in the Great Lakes harming the local fish population do to their aggressive eating habits.

This reminds me of how the Feds shoot native's horses on horse farms in the north, because they want their land. Some people don't deserve to share this planet with nature.
1) The farmer being named Bruce reminded me of the Monty Python sketch about several Australian guys all named Bruce. 2) OverSimplified shows three men fighting the emus. There actually were only three men--Major Meredith and two machine gunners. That was the entire army! 3) The "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED" banner at 13:08 is like the one President George W. Bush used in 2003 when he thought the war in Iraq had been won, except it has the Australian flag.
You guys should watch his new video about the Pig War.
Wild hog hunting in the southeast of america is very common. Sometimes people also hunt them in helicopters lol - edit: i meant to say southwest but whatever 🤣

I believe that Texas is working on making boar hunting from a helicopter legal. I don't think it is at the moment. Wild pigs are a huge problem in a lot of southern states but it must be really bad in Texas

It is legal, and no license needed for hogs.
Nice reaction, you should react to the new Oversimplified video, pig war
You are right that feral hogs have bred out of control in swaths of the Southern U.S. I don't know anything about hunting them from helicopters, but that wouldn't surprise me at all. I think most hunt them on foot or ATVs.
I was hoping you guys were going to react to this one. One of my favorite Oversimplified vids.

Mike's my favorite bloke! Nice pick!
Emu skin is used to cover extremely expensive cowboy boots. 10:02 You are right Dave. They do hunt wild pigs here in Texas. Probably the same people that can afford Emu cowboy boots. Search it on KZread for the videos.
American sharing my two cents, Helicopters were used to hunt wolves (now banned) for boars the land owners typically use a pick up truck with armed men in the bed and flood lights ontop of the cab either shooting them or running them down (not banned because they're a nuisance for farmers)
it is texas and pigs. And 10 rounds per kill is actually considered very good for a military operation.
This was a good one! Good job Mike!!
I'm not one to jump on something just because it just dropped, but when I saw it was this war...
Here in Texas we hunt hogs from helicopters 🇨🇱
Great pick, Mike!

Congrats on the plaque
Great job , Mike! Hurray Emus.
One pound fifteh for the win!
Those wild pigs are MASSIVE. And mean.
Helicopter Hog Hunting is a Texas thing
See, if they weren’t idiots , they at least used browning 1919’s, true machine guns, in a much stouter round…or even better the good ol Ma Duece…and you know sent out a company or two on line in addition to a company or more of heavy weapons. They coulda had the same result in a day or two if they did that. So after a couple weeks, woulda knocked me down to half or so, most likely a third of the original numbers and scattered the rest.
A dingo got my baby.
