Dont change rating. This tank is just good. Nothing more nothing less. It used to be my favourite premium tank for some time... utill i got another 100 of premium tanks.

The same here, it was my favorite premium tank, well I won't gonna lie, Progetto is better but RAAC is easier tank to play it requires less brain power so I rather play it when I'm tired than Progetto.

I'm also suffering from those lags... In my opinion the tank is okay, but certainly 230 alpha damage is a bit meh nowadays (considering it's a single shot cannon). I think it would have to have at least 280 alpha damage to reach the 4 star category...

For me the ping stays same, just the lag indicator turns red and I continue to do what was my last input - if that's moving forward or sideways (to avoid getting hit to cupola or other weakspots) when I'm in a shoot-out between several tanks in cover over a small field I sometimes get slaughtered because of that - it is most likely happening because of packet loss.

you could add on index that you have the old rating also shown in brackets when you rate tanks new

That lag spike is in asia server for months now. Normally start around 8pm Malaysia time until late into midnight. Lost so many games from that issue and I can’t play at night anymore because of it

Months? You meant years. After they move to HK, the lag spike is even worse, had the best ISP in my country but still lag even outside peak hour. In SG, lag spike only occur during peak hour, and that is when I was still using cheap ISP, understandable. Back then, often play in my friends house with a better ISP and during peak hour, it still have some lag spike but not as bad as cheaper ISP. Now with HK, pretty much I've been camping, because how can I push when the lag spike could strike anytime?

Lol, i'm also playing in HK server but rarely experience any lag whatsoever. Always stay at 40-50ms, pretty smooth to me, couldn't remember any lag.

Absolutely my favorite tier 8 medium. Find a ridge line and chew up tier 9s like a bag of popcorn. Many times I’ve bounced JP100s and HoRi shells off of the turret when angled correctly. Gun is accurate but a little weak.

I've also been getting those lag spikes on NA for the past few months. Ping is just fine then it shoots up to like 200ms for a few seconds, then its fine again.

Forget buying the FV4202. Even before the buff, this tank is way better.

I love 5/1. Good pen, accurate, decent dpm for a tier 8 med, decent mobility and a strong turret with gun depression. It just works. 220 alpha can be annoying but I feel like 240 is very common in tier 8 too, 220 isn't much worse. It is my best performing medium together with kunze all across the board.

Oh yeah I have the same problem, there's a huge lag and I can't do shit about it, tank goes sideways to the enemies or whatever f, literally in every battle. Like ffs why ?!

i really enjoy the cent 5/1, armor is strong, especially the turret hulldown, gun is reliable, DPM and alpha is the only weakness this tank got so u can struggle a bit in the 15-3, but in slower controlled games its great. 4 Stars from me, not evry tank that is not as powerful as CS lis or Progetto can be trash class

I had the same problems with Lags, and it was my Internet provider. Other games worked fine. The problem where at the point where my provider exchanges data with another provider on the route to Wargaming servers. Probably because they had not enough capacity in this bottleneck. This problem was well documented in the german part of the WoT Forum. So I changed my Provider and the lags where gone.

Had some crazy lags today, and it has not been an issue for me before. Don't know what they are doing with the servers....

6:14 skills problems seem so light, but in the end, he is mastering itr pretty well and giving us good overview and that beeing said shows how good he also is in evaluate sober

Those lag spikes are really annoying. Get them fairly routinely myself for the past few months.

I get Lag most days now... As a Sniper Schnitzel i am usually hiding in a bush and then my TD tank just zooms off out of cover towards enemy and i'm DEAD..🙄😡 RIGGED

Some recent update definitely made servers less reliable, same thing happens to me every few days and is very frustrating

Hi Skill: love your Videos! But mm is brutal this week. I had 1 match equal tier and 19 matches T10 with hwk12 and teams out of this world. Like CC and Strv camping 15min while I am pinnned down and need help to kill enemy light. Also every match >3 lights.

Love this tank to bits. My best credit maker. Glad it finally got a new video

This tank still deserved 4* simply because of the hulldown capability. Its turret armor really makes me feel confident poking over the ridge line against the enemy. The gun acc is good and that matters more than dpm or alpha dmg for its play style imo.

Plus this tank has the hull armor of the tier IX so it can help against lower tiers

hey skill. eventually you can add the possibility to rate 1.5, 2.5, 3.5, 4.5 stars so tanks that are in between ratings can have their own!

Probably prebought. Either he changed ammo loadout recently and had a stock in the depot, or he sold/upgraded a tank that had the same gun (centurion 7/1).

Personally I have a blast with this tank an any tier. Just find a hull down position and enjoy. Also you didn't mention for the gun depression witch it have quite good and it's mobile as well. For me is 5⭐

gun is great armor is great only thing that lets this tank down is the alpha i always find. Problem is when you have newer tanks that slap for over 300 alpha its hard to keep up

It felt weirdly sluggish after the Comet, and so I did not like it. Until I checked my win rate. It has long been of my favorite tanks because I even though I have all kinds of arguments with it, it just keeps winning.

The problem for the Centurion is simply that it's being powercrept.. More tier VIII has better DPM and alpha since the cent first came out..

It's big, low camo, isn't very agile, and has awful alpha damage by T8 medium standards these days. On the plus side, the turret armor is good, it's straight line mobility is decent, the DPM is okay, and the gun handling isn't terrible these days (it used to have terrible bloom but that's been reduced a bit in the past few years). IMHO it's okay overall, I'd rate it as a 3 stars. To me, rather than being a medium, it feels like a slightly more mobile Patriot but with 3x the base shell cost

so what you're saying is, Cent 5/1 needs pref matchmaking? gotcha!

It appeared to me the mobility was a little better than 2 stars. IMO

The main problem with all of the tier 8 centurions is the god awful gun.

The tanks only negative is its alpha damage. If thats not worth 4 stars then you have a bunch of tanks to reexamine.

It's a good tank but not great. If you can get a good hull down position you can do really well with it as the turret can bounce alot of shots.

You need to make the ratings out of 10. It gives you a better range. This tank is way better than a 3. I'd give it a 4, but if you made it out of 10, you could make it a 7 or 8. I'd personally give it an 8. The premium ammo damage is great

If I bought this, for sure I would get three tier X match making games.

Engine sound is great. Rating should be 3.5 .

Truely 5/1 is the best Centurion in Tier8 as it has what the others, Centurion1, Strv81 and PrimoVictoria miss out, some armor on the ammo rack. yes, it s far better than its half brother FV4202. one of my favourites for randoms, frontline and even for skirmishes the 5/1 is no where the best but also no where the worst. ok, on damage per shot it is close to the worst but even this is covered up by a reliable hitting and a good standard penetration so premium ammo i use rarely.

If the trend remains constant for ratings, it needs to go to 3 stars max because gold penetrates it…

Don't downgrade it, it still performs as it did when you gave it the rating originally imho...

I love this tank.

on asian server tier 8's face 35% tier 10's, 50% tier 9's, 10% tier 8's, 4.9% tier 7's and only only ONLY 0.1% against tier 6 no joke in this year 2024 i have nevr faced tier 6 in a tier 8 battle even last year and I play at least 30 games everyday.

I find this to be probably even worse on Asia server, i always seem to be someone's bitch (being bottom tier 80% of the time) lol. This server is broken, why have a tech tree with tiers 1-4!

I'd drop the rating down to 3 star. With power creep from other premium mediums over the years this thing feels very average to play nowadays.

Server 1 is unplayable for me, same lags as you have. Server 2 is much better. The server stops responding for extended periods of time and causing the lag. Best feature ever, btw, to loop last input until connection is restored.

Like it a lot but find it a lot easier to play higher alpha tanks

What an FV4202 should have been from the beginning; needs an alpha buff to make it relevant these days.

and you would think since its old, the price would be cheaper, due to this power creep, I mean look at the IS6 .... damn Russian businessmen.

Think should drop the rating to 3/5, dont see how 5/1 would be 4/5 when recently finished STRV 81 mark and that is a 2/5 tank. 7/1 is better from stats but just cant see it as 4/5.

Also checked and all other T8 centurions are rated 2/5 and FV4202 1/5. Just cant see how 5/1 is 4/5. Should be 3/5.

I prefere strv 81 because of the shell velocity.

Rigged! I'm also experiencing these lags these days. It's quite annoying tbh. I like the Centurion 5/1. Gun-Handling is good, armor works and it doesn't come with the worst DPM. It's a good will 4-star-rating for me ;)

Well, maybe 230 is not much, but look at Panther II, tier 8 German medium with 75mm cannon has 135 damage😂, ok, with 88mm cannon it has 280 damage, but it is German famous 88mm cannon.

His games, level vi tanks...my game : im at a bottom of the list the only level 8 tank.....all 9 and 10's tanks

Luckily WG won't get any more of my money!

RIgged Personally I love my 5/1, lower tiers can be slapped around and can't reliably pen me, higher tiers I play for assisting damage (470 view range with Bond Equipment XD ).
