I know… I said that the previous extra on Overlord was ‘the last of the last’ … then I remembered that I had made a completely different recording of Raising Hell’s first two chapters!
Therefore, the old bonus has been renamed and is no longer ‘Part 0’!
This video exists because I wasn’t satisfied with my original attempt in this expansion and it was too slow (which is bad for Raising Hell as each Abyss is almost an hour long)…
So I took advantage of the import tool to copy my save file from the classic game and restart this extra adventure!
So, here’s my true first playthrough showing the beginning of Overlord Raising Hell, which notably includes the Mellow Hills Abyss and the Evernight Abyss!

So, it’s here that you can see my confusion when I found out that you had to beat the final boss again to start the new quest! Even the Tower returns to its ‘empty’ and more sinister form from this part of the original title.
At first I thought it was a glitch with the expansion! After relaunching the game, I simply renounced and accepted to redo the ultimate section…
It was at least the opportunity to give myself a little challenge by bringing back the Steel equipment that I had prepared, which makes this section more difficult! After that and the evil ending, everything returns to normal with the ‘investigation’ in the Ruborian Desert, then having to go into each Abyss.
As you can see, I was much less efficient since I wasn’t as used to Raising Hell and was therefore often quite lost! That’s why I was so easily tricked by certain traps in the first Abyss like the hidden bombs or the aggressive pumpkins that reappear! You can notice that some puzzles took me much longer as well!
Besides all that and a few bugs like Minions getting stuck in a few places (thus wasting some slots from my army), it didn’t go as well as I wanted!
But as in the final videos, I still found all the moulds anyway (although I’ve missed a few secret treasures) and I even dealt with the Beetles to collect some resources!
It was mainly my performance in the Evernight Abyss that didn’t satisfy me… I got lost and a lot of things eluded my understanding…
Especially regarding the progression (as the level design is quite a mess here) or certain elements which you had to manipulate with the Minions (like the play's set which doesn’t move in the same way as other objects).
There was the glitch with Rollie which ended up stuck in the wall and forced me to leave and then return! In short, it was this second part that convinced me that it was better to start all over again…

Well, this time, it’s the last video for real! At least, until the day I replay Overlord Raising Hell on a platform other than the Xbox 360. I'll redo it differently (with the DLCs from the get-go, with no Corruption, in Legendary difficulty…).
So, in the next playthrough, we’ll discover the adventure of our offspring … in Overlord II!
