Overlanding Kentucky: Hensley Settlement Extreme
Today we enjoy the challenge that is the Hensley Settlement Extreme spur off of the Kentucky Adventure Tour. Massive rocks, mudholes, a small waterfall washout, a historic settlement, and a winter wonderland await us on this journey. After experiencing this trail, we would have to say it is one of our favorites in Kentucky!

The 4 or 5 buildings that are left was actually redone with the other cabins that was not in good shape.. all the wood is original wood from when the community was built.. very cool place to check out and read about if you are into the history of old towns.. cool video

We loved seeing the restored buildings. It definitely makes me want to go back in the summer when they might be open for visitors.
Roo is a jeep herder and then a navigator. LOL

She definitely is a herder and she loves to get out and run. If we followed her lead, though, we'd end up chasing a lot of groundhogs!
