Overkill is one of the most reliable metal bands I can think of. They put out an awesome metal album pretty much every 2 years!

Never heard such a good speed/thrash metal song...That's a masterpiece,changes of rhythm,shred,fucking outrageous riffs and solo,vocals so growly and on point...That's definitely my favourite song!

I saw them when I was 16 for the first time and I am 44 now-they were awesome then...and even more awesome now....OVERKILL makes all the other bands look like old men-these guys still have the energy of 20 year olds!

Man I'd love to see Overkill. I'm 41 and the best show I've been to was Exodus and they were fuckin awesome! Overkill will always be in my top5,hell yeah

666maidenpower yeah... I don't really like Slayer. I'm thinking hooky, substantial riffs (Slayer's riffs just seem to be a few notes tremolo-picked ad nauseam with no real regard to melodic or rhythmic interest), a guitar tone with a serious crunch (their early albums had quite a muddy tone - the tone on Repentless sounds pretty cool though), and varied drumming that keeps you hooked (Dave Lombardo just sticks to the same beat and uses that in pretty much every song except Seasons In The Abyss, South Of Heaven and apparently almost everything off of Diabolus In Musica)

666maidenpower I did seek out Reign In Blood out of curiosity. I must say, it didn't enthuse me particularly. And one thing I've noticed, not just by me but by several people who have given the album negative reviews on The Encyclopaedia Metallum is that everyone remembers Raining Blood and Angel Of Death just fine, but everything else just gets kinda overlooked - which is a bit of a shame, because there are a few decent moments here and there in Jesus Saves or Altar Of Sacrifice and even Criminally Insane. But the album as a whole just doesn't really go anywhere musically outside of Slayer's somewhat repetitive comfort zone

+x1StapleGun Repetitive? Have you listened to God Hates Us All or Divine Intervention? Or have you listened to World Painted Blood? Not all Slayer songs are alike. And look how far they lasted, idk about you but 34 years is a fucking long time. Especially for thrash, OH not to mention, they are still the heaviest out of any of the Big 4 (especially right now). Overkill, Testament, Anthrax, Metallica, Kreator, Death Angel, Flotsam and Jetsam, and other badass thrash metal bands are fucking awesome, BUT Slayer was (in my opinion) the band that defined the genre. There lyrics, riffs, solos, imagery, drums, and overall energy hit me the most out of all thrash bands I have checked out.

+Kat Kelley Well since Metallica and Megadeth cant keep up to their glory days anymore Overkill gets more and more in the Focus of Thrash Metal Fans. FINALLY they been pushing out great Albums since like 1986 when they made Under the Influence New Overkill record is coming Febuary the 10 th of 2017.

Overkill getting better and better starting from 2000 year, 2 recent albums just best of nowadays thrash - i can't stop listening 'em!

Bobby blitz is the grandfather of thrash! He established overkill even before metallica existed! Theyre up there as the best imo. Saw them live and it was one of the greatest shows ive been to!

Their latest album is just epic. Didn't get the chance to hear most of their older albums but the latest one is off this world!

This and Ironbound are their best work since Bloodletting.

I would agree. Even though it was 10 years ago, their performance in İstanbul was surprisingly good and I still remember it. A similar underdog performance was also by Destruction at the same festival. Where was the gig that you attended??

My generation birthed these guys. I was 18 (now 48) in the Navy when I bought my first OverKill cassette tape (not CD) LOL. "Feel the Fire" STILL a GREAT one!

Thats because he wasn't awesome for a long time. The early albums were great but his voice so annoying. His voice sounds way better these days and its all working.

So glad I was a teenager in the 90's . Most of the music the past few years sucks good to see the old school thrash bands smoking everyone .

Saw OVERKILL in this lineup in Budapest, Hungary. Great show, photos after....great memories. Remember the people with sealed copies of vinyls but with holes near the band members photos. In order to be signed and then for eBay. When Blitz saw this his laughter was incredible

I got this in my top 5 metal songs all time.

Compared to Bobby Blitz any other vocalist simply don't know how to hold the mic... look this guy! He's so skillful. Just good as Jimmy Hendrix performing his guitar

Timeless thrash!!! They sound just like they did years and years ago!! Same energy and sound....lots of respect for these guys....who are one of the best thrash/metal bands out there!!!!!!

Thank God for bands like overkill and death angel. They've been rocking just as long as Metallica. The difference is these guys still have the thrash.

Overkill Rulz. Love how when you think the song is over it picks back up. Best thrash band ever

Tons of older bands would like to think that their new stuff is as good as the old stuff that made them famous in the 1st place, but this is rarely the case.With Overkill, however, it's true. And Blitz's voice is definitely as good, and I would say better, than on the early stuff. With the exception of Met's 1st 3 albums with Cliff, Overkill is better than the supposed "Big 4" .

Metallica was the strongest tjrash band on the eighties. Overkill was strong, but not so. But nowadays, Overkill is very stronger than Metallica, and making more records too.

One of the best bands I ever saw live!

I saw those guys in Montreal this summer at Heavy MTL, they are F****N Amazing.

First off. Putting Metallica as number 1 on that list on this day and age is insulting to thrash. Secondly, putting metallica on that list at all in 2012 is insulting.

This song is just the beginning of Overkill's awesomeness.
