I really hope they fix the input delay on all the games in Pac-Man Museum + very soon. Pac-Mania, both Pac-Man Arrangements, Championship Edition, and 256 alone made it worth buying for me, even if I technically own all of them somewhere else. Also Adventures in Time would be cool to have in there as well. As for the Pac-Man World games, they deserve their own game IMO.

THANK YOU FOR NOTICING AND MENTIONING THE LAG. All the reviews ignoring it really frustrates me. Switch version definitely has it

Yeah, I notice it most in Pac-Man, Super, Pal, and especially Mania and Land. I really wish they'd patch this issue.

I noticed I was dying a lot earlier than usual too lol. I mostly bought it for the cute presentation. Beyond the original and Ms. Pacman, I'm kind of a Pacman noob so it was nice playing stuff like Pac Mania and Arrangement. Nice vid.

At this point I wouldn't have minded a full on remake of pac n roll mainly because its antagonist is a huge highlight for me.

The reason why the remix version is used is because the story had references to ms pac man

Great review! I'd pick this up if it had Championship DX on the disc. I'm not a fan on wasted *space with artwork bezels either. If I could rotate the screen vertically, I'd be more inclined to get this.

As of right now, you can get Pac-Man and Super Pac-Man thru the Arcade Archives releases. (These are stand-alone games.) The nice part is that they don't have any input lag or emulations issues, and you can rotate the screen in whatever direction you want. (Particular nice if you get them on Switch, and also get the Flip Grip.)

my MAIN gripe is lack of online multiplayer. the game has 5 multiplayer games but no practical way of playing with others. also sound emulation is bad for some games

I feel like after a couple of months/years after the release, no one would even bother playing online mutiplayer. Like it would definitely benefit those games that have mutiplayer games, but I don't think this collection is worth adding online mutiplayer. Like sure, when the game came out, people would've played the online mutiplayer like crazy. But after like a couple of years, do you think people will go back and play this game, hop on to a game that supports online mutiplayer, only to find out that no ones even playing anymore?

I like the arcade gimmick but it’s not enough to fix it, I know it’s hard to get licensing for Ms. PAC-MAN and it might be kind of hard to make Baby PAC-MAN work but go big or go home

Psss....you can get "Pac Gal" on Android. It's totally free. It's an exact clone of Mrs. Pac-Man, but they changed a few colors. You are definitely going to want a controller for it though.

what's the music used in the beginning?

Idk if the game got updated but I play it on switch (I got it 2 days ago) and I don’t notice any lag when I press buttons

Shame about the lag. Seems to be a problem with many recent retro releases. Ironic given that platforms are more powerful than ever, but struggle with 40 year old games.

Did you ever play any of the Namco Museum games on the PS1? That's been my fave display Namco have ever done for their older titles. But it is frustrating they never make anything to honor their titles from the late 80s to 90s.

This game could be way better if they added pacman championship edition dx and worlds largest pacman.

How to fix the input lag! I too have the xbox version and I was very disappointed upon my initial play of it. That made me dig into the issue. I have a Samsung QLED screen, and in the video/picture settings there is a "game mode". Selecting that completely - 100% - fixed the lag issue. I have a cabinet of pac man (an original) so I know what a lag free version feels like, and now the xbox version is lag free too.

I just don’t know if the Pac-Man CE is indeed the original as you say? Can you confirm this? I feel like the original PacMan CE was way faster… wasn’t it?

Pac Man 256 is also available on PS4, Xbox, and PC for about $5, with no microtransactions or ads.

In my opinion, no it's not overhyped. The only valid complaint I've seen about the game is the lag. Even then, people really overplay just how much of a deal breaker it is. As a PAC-MAN fan, this is my second favorite PAC-MAN collection, right behind NAMCO MUSEUM ARCADE PAC. I'm good at PAC-MAN games, regardless of if it has lag or not. The lag is rarely noticeable, git gud people.

This channel is great, it reminds me of Dragon Quest

great collection, but the input lag are terrible, you see yourself dying so many times on you do the right moves and the game jokes at you.

I got the game on both PS4 and Switch and had a great time with it the PS4 version especially. Although I haven’t noticed the greatest amount of lag in the games, it is very noticeable when playing Pac-Man Arrangement. For some reason exclusively in the Switch version, Pac-Attack and Pac-in-Time have this weird issue where the colours are saturated, and they look very ugly. At the end of the day, I consider the games in this collection playable.

Best part was it was free on Game Pass.

Namco Bandai should've made an original Pac-Man game instead of this.
