Overheating Fixed with Bleeder Valve│Nissan D21 Hardbody

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Discovering the bleeder valve was the cause of the Nissan D21 Hardbody running warm after fixing the major overheating issue. Hopefully, this helps, bleeder valves are on many other vehicles and if excess air is in the cooling system it can be used to remove it. This simple fix can save you on diagnosis fees. You could perform this entire job without any special tool.

I dropped my bleeder valve bolt and it took me two hours to find it. I had to take out the alternator because it was stuck behind it and there is no way to get to it. Not even with a magnet. It was a nightmare. I recommend just loosening it till it almost comes out and don’t take it out completely. That way the air bubbles can still get out and then tighten it back down.

if you put a piece of paper on the head of the bolt and insert it into the socket it can't fall out and you can re-install it without dropping. Hope that helps you next time.

I dropped mine too and know where it is but it's impossible to get without taking everything apart. After hours of trying to get it I decided to just replace it with a new one, just don't forget the washer.

@@mariolara3503 Yes I did, anytime you have overheating problems if you put an aftermarket thermostat, never use an aftermarket, go to the Nissan dealer and buy the original for that type of engine, I’m here in Canada and it cost me around $56 tax included, it should be around $45 US I had no more overheating problems and I left the truck running for and hour without the radiator cap, after an hour I closed the radiator cap, temperature did not go over the one quarter on the gauge and stayed there, water finally came out of that bleeding hole, it worked out well. I hope this long explanation work

And don’t lose the copper washer that goes underneath the bolt.
