Overhaul is actually able to turn off his quirk. We saw on the 2nd episode, whe he throws his card at Shigaraki at the end of their confrontation, he throws it with his hand that has no glove and the card wasn't disassembled. He chooses when to activate it The only reason he's wearing gloves is because he doesn't wanna get dirty 😂

yea in the latest episode, during the fight with mirio, i saw him dissasemble his gloves, the gloves wasnt torn apart, it was destroy, shreded to the molicular, i think he activated his quirk and destroyed it. He also blocked the flying Chrono towards him with his bare hand too, luckily chrono is still alive xd

Well, he uses a kind of-Black Plague mask, so the gloves are probably because he thinks quirks are a disease.

Overhaul can control his quirk, when he fought the league of villains he threw a card at tomura without his glove on

I haven’t seen anyone realize the full potential of his quirk. He is overpowered All For One. We saw how he combined someone else’s body with him and we know he can choose which parts of people he wants to disassemble. It is completely possible that he can dissasemble the quirk cells of people and reassemble them in him.

Some of your conclusions about his quirk seem a bit off. 1: He doesn't have to disassemble something to the point of blowing it up before fixing it, as shown when he heals Chronostasis without anyone noticing, then later himself. 2: He seems to have complete control over his quirk and can absolutely "turn it off" as he touches a card at one point and doesn't do anything to it. A simpler explanation for the gloves would be his germaphobia. 3: While it is possible that the quirk is responsible for his rash, there's next to nothing to support this. It's just as likely that it's a result of his germaphobia as well.

One thing I’m confused about, what part does he have to touch to reassemble something, like let’s say he destroys a bed, then takes a tiny bit of the stuffing and moves it to a new room and then reassembles it, does the bed reform in the new room, or what?

if he touches something and it's in direct contact to other things, the disassembling can branch out and spread. if he destroys a bed, takes a piece of it, moves to a new room, and rebuilds it, then the materials of that same bed from the other room will be used to make that new bed. he needs the materials of what he disassembled to rebuild or repurpose them.

Now that I think about it, Overhaul could have brought back Magne after he killed her. Why didn’t he? If I was in his position at that point, then I would have tried to bring her back so the League of Villains wouldn’t hold a grudge against me. Then again, Tomura did kill one of his guys as well. Guess they called it even.

Nowhere like it. Crazy Diamond(OG name btw)reverts things to a past state. Overhaul, Chisaki's quirk, allows him to literally modify thing in a molecular way, so he can do whatever he wants with them. Also, he can use it on himself.
