God bless you sister, I needed to hear this! I’m dealing with this now. I ran to escapism and wallowed In bitterness for years because of an abusive and controlling parent. I REFUSE TO RUN TO SIN TO COPE WITH THIS PAIN ANY LONGER! God is going to deliver me from this person who has been a hinderance in my walk with God. Because of this person’s title (mother) I thought that I could never get away. I thought that I would always have to deal with them but God will deliver me and my siblings. I know that we will be living out the freedom that we already possess in the spirit VERY SOON! I’m not going to leave God alone. I screamed, cried, got angry but now it’s time to repent, focus, and be strong. I need all of your prayers because it is not easy! Thank you so much for being God’s messenger.

In many ways, the devil is a manipulative abuser. Looking at how sin may feel fun in the short term but horrible in the long term is similar to the example of love bombing you mentioned in the video. Great video!

This was powerful and a much needed word. We often feel bound or possess a blind loyalty to people who are manipulative, abusive, and unkind; especially if they are close friends and family. We often forget how loving and even protective God is of his children, and has the ability to truly free us from these dysfunctional and unhealthy connections (strongholds). Thank you for reminding us of the power of our father in heaven. I also want to recommend going back and read the story of Joseph. There was some pivotal details that weren’t shared that showcased the manipulation but triumphs of his journey. It’s often labeled the Pit to Palace. Joseph wasn’t a King but definitely became a profound leader in the royal courts.
