He actually spent time in jail too after in Lock up & Escape plan. This was before The Expendables. In prison he was also the best goal keeper in Escape to victory. Nothing this man couldn't do.

衛星放送でこの映画久々に鑑賞しましたけど、見ていて気合い入りすぎて最後は歯が折れました。やっぱり凄い作品です！

I loved this movie Over the Top is a very underrated movie. It didn't fare so well at the box office or with critics but this movie was so good. It had everything it had those emotional moments that made you cry and I was crying during that scene with Michael's mom when she was dying in hospital. Then the movie had all the macho shit too. Nothing says manly like an arm wrestling tournament montage with cheesy 80's music about being the best. Over the Top is an awesome movie I still love it to this day.

The final match between Lincoln Hawk and Bull Hurley was not just the battle of strength; it was also a battle of tricks. Hawk emerged as the winner, not because he is the strongest; he won because he is the most resourceful.

I have no idea how many times I've seen this film but it's defo over 30. Even bought the soundtrack a few years ago.... Sad maybe but I just love it.

When Bull lets out that scream when Hawk goes OTT always gets me cause you know he’s in trouble. But ever since I was a kid I take the soft music intro before Bull gets put down as a nod to Hawk’s wife giving him that extra push. It has that ethereal feel before it segues into 80’s rock

I think this movie was based on a true story and the 80s nailed it...

The kid's voice throughout the movie is grating now. As a kid I loved this movie. I wish I could replace all of his lines with Barry White's voice.

I just learned that was Cleve Dean, professional arm wrestler. Apparently he was strong as hell and got his strength from working on a pig farm. Respect.

It definitely was real. Also at 6:40 mark, Stallone dislocated Hurley’s shoulder and his scream was authentic. I’ve only read a little bit but the last match was pretty much them two going full tilt.

it was. it was completely unplanned but they they left it in. The Punch from Bull against sly's nose was also "unplanned", sly told him to do it, but he told him not to call it before, so sly's Reaction would be authentic
