So with this was a standard by all means, it had no power steering, AC, or radio. Which was not a big issue, but with a bad tie rod it can make for an interesting experience. So when driving this vehicle it would violently jerk to the bad side when I let off the steering wheel. That caused a lot of fatigue on longer drives, which wasn't too much of an issue for me but, its a definite fail for state safety inspection. Those ball joints should be nice and stiff, when they are loose you get the symptoms that were just described. These symptoms can also accompany them, which is side play and shaking.
