I usually prefer original songs versus a cover version. But every now and then the cover is WAYYYYYY better than the original. Yes this may be Robyn's song BUT Calum's version is HANDS DOWN the BEST version.

I feel like Calum made the song his, his emotion and charisma is felt through his voice and whatever song he sings... Some of the contestants here I felt like they were trying too sound or copy Calum's performance of these songs which isn't a bad take (Calum makes these songs just amazing)but they tried to imitate someone else instead of pouring their own personalities into the songs...

This is not Calum Scott’s song. It’s the Swedish singer/songwriter Robyn’s song. She made two versions of “Dancing on my own” - one very upbeat and a more quiet one which Calum did a cover of. Robyn deserves the honour, she wrote this song. Don’t give it to Calum.

Whitney Houston covered a song written by Dolly Parton, which will forever go into the annals of history as "Whitney's song". Nobody knew Robyn made a quiet version _until Calum covered it_ ... They _made_ it their own. Also; this is a compilation video, not just one song. These songs are all his.

Sorry. Dancing on my own is a Robyn cover. Not Callum Scott. He does a amazing version of it. But Robyn is the original.
