This highlights one of the reasons I love my church. Ministers do not get paid by the church. They all hold their own jobs and none of them are getting rich off of the work they do for the Lord. God said you shall have no other gods before me and money is a pretty well worshiped god these days.

I have a feeling that it will probably turn people off from Christianity.

I think it's kind of disgusting. This is just another thing to add to my list of reasons why I don't like religion. I just can't believe in a God that would let innocent babies die from hunger and disease. That's only a small part. I think when believing in a God the most important thing is to claim that it is, Invisible, Inaudible and Imperceptible in every way. Otherwise people will become skeptical when it appears to no-one, is silent and does nothing. I there is an all powerful God, please show yourself to the world. Problem solved. God did show himself to the world, He sent Jesus Christ 2000 years ago. And as for babies dying and all of the bad that happens, that is because us humans have turned away from Him. Our sins have made God to turn Himself away from us. Sin is not in His nature. Like how if we touch a hot stove we jerk our hand away, God can not dwell with sin.
