Tom Hanks began his acting career in Cleveland as a member of the Great Lakes Shakespeare Theatre. He attended many a Tribe game at old Cleveland Municipal Stadium back then, and to this day he still talks about how the mustard there was the best he's ever eaten. It's good stuff.

Ex-Clevelander here. This brought back a lot of good memories. I used to go to games all the time when I lived there. The names of some of the restaurants and bars in the area may have changed but the vibe and the fans seem pretty much the same. I really, really miss going to games. I had an absolute blast going to them!! Looks like you didn't get hassled too harshly. If you get a chance you can pick up some mustard at any supermarket in plastic bottles, the all carry it. Something to watch out for . There are 2 brands of mustards sold in the stores; there's "Stadium Mustard", which is the mustard at the football stadium, and there is " Bertman's Ball Park Mustard" which is the mustard at he baseball field. It's pretty much the exact same stuff but that's debatable and long extensive arguments have been the topic of many a bar/dinner table conversations. The creators/ owners had a falling out and split the company. One got the football stadium and the other the ballpark. I can't really tell the difference between the two. I do know that both are delicious and unique and I still have it in my kitchen. I get a friend to mail me some whenever I'm out.

Please allow me to make a small correction. The Jake (Progressive Field if I have to say it) isn't a stadium. We went thru this when it was built separate from that monstrosity Municipal Stadium. What we have is a true Ballpark. Made specifically for baseball. Football is in a stadium, baseball is in the ballpark. It's one of the nicest in the country and I know you're as proud of it as I am :). I'm an hour away now but The Land is home for sure.

Getting razzed in an away city is a right of passage. We got it BAD while visiting Chicago to see the Tigers stomp the Sox while making a run at the pennant... just a few years back when the Tigers were actually good and relevant and man, did we get burned by the locals. Regardless, I miss having a rooting interest in a team at this point in the season. It's a great feeling and I wonder if/when it'll happen again.

As a fellow Tigers fan, this season was the worst since 16. We all knew by mid May, that the season was over. Thank god Avila is gone but 3 seasons too late, in my opinion. I just want to see some reasonable offseason acquisitions, to the infield/outfield and I want to see a competitive/scrappy team. Our pitching is the least of our worries, at this point.

This team killed me with the team name change. I'm huge on baseball history and all I heard is that they were going to go back to the Spiders nickname, so I was very excited. That was their name in the 1890s. I saw hats, logos, shirts for the Spiders name and even though they are not my team, I planned to get a hat and shirt. Then they just came out of nowhere with the current name and it was such a letdown. It sounds like a Lacrosse or Soccer team name, where they try to hook little kids with the name. It does not sound like an MLB name. I've been calling them the Parental Units if I reference them at all. Spiders was right there! It even won multiple fan vote contests, one by a huge landslide too

The Spiders were a different franchise. This Cleveland team started out as the Lake Shores after relocating from Grand Rapids in 1900. In 1901 the American League started and the Cleveland team chose Bluebirds(later shorten to Blues) as the nickname. The confusion comes from the Spiders being nicknamed the Indians by the fans because the popular Native American player Louis Sockalexis played for the Spiders. Then this franchise changed their name to the Indians in 1914 after going by the Naps(named after popular player Nap Lajoie) as a supposed nod to the fans calling the Spiders the Indians. But I agree. I wished they were renamed the Spiders even though it was a different franchise. Guardians just sucks lol.

@@w.e.slaughter2411 I didn't actually mean this franchise, I meant Cleveland in general. Sorry for the confusion, but it's good to see someone who knows the history. I was reading a baseball encyclopedia front to back multiple times that was older than my dad when I was six years old and asked to go to Old Timer's Day for my seventh birthday over Opening Day because I wanted to see the old players. I went to Cooperstown at seven as my choice for a summer vacation with my dad. Years later, I have written about baseball history every single day (literally 365) for the last eight years as part of my job, today took about six hours total as an example. Trust me, I know all of the team name stories. Even uncovered some I haven't seen anywhere else for the Pirates franchise. When the Hartford minor league team was looking for a team name a few years back, I submitted Dark Blues under multiple email addresses, and if they somehow chose that one, I would have been all over the merchandise. I saw the Spiders logos on hats and shirts, they are amazing. I won't even acknowledge this new team name. It's just awful. Blues, Bronchos, Forest Citys, even the strange Molly Maguires would have been better.

Watching Woo is my "me" time, this was great as always. :) Went to my first baseball game recently because of this channel. The stadium was gorgeous at sunset, and it was all quite memorable, but I'm still not sure I'm a Dodger fan. Also I fear Dodgers fans might be a lot more rude to Adam than Cleveland was here, if he were to ever come to a Dodger game dressed like that-- which is one of the reasons I'm still not sure I'm a Dodgers fan. I don't know much about Cleveland yet but apparently I must try their mustard when I go. Cheers👍

Sorry Adam, your Rays were eliminated in this series by losing 1-0 in 15 innings today. I was hoping the Rays could of won this series but this didn't happen. Hope you have better success in the postseason if your Rays make it back to them in 2023. Safe travels back for both of you guys. GO ASTROS GO!!!!!

Welcome to the North! It got cold quick that's for sure! If you want to do something in between games besides the local Cleveland suggestions I don't know if anybody has said anything about millionaire row but I'm a huge fan of architecture and the last time we went to Cleveland we drove through that area pretty amazing the architecture is just outstanding. Tony Packo's is in Toledo and if you ever want to see some autographed buns on the wall that's an interesting joint. Personally being a Californian living here I know California's are known for weird stuff but that restaurant takes it to a whole new level I never seen so many hot dog buns with autographs on it that's like I don't know it's just weird! The best food in Toledo is the spaghetti station. We always eat in the trolley car the ambience is so cool but if you want to eat on the floor it's like eating right out of bedknobs and broomsticks everybody's Booth is basically a brass bed which is kind of cool too. Ohio has better roads than Michigan. Better gas prices and zero $0.10 when you buy a soda can or bottle. Today is Saturday I hope the rays play and beat the guardians so the best of three can finish out on Sunday. If you need warmer clothes I highly suggest the Salvation army today is Saturday but Fridays and Saturdays they have their tag clothing 50% off but they also have what's called five for five so if you need warmer clothes Bob's your uncle! ~Cheers Go Rays!

Had no idea you were here in town. Would have loved to meet you. I myself am a Cleveland fan as well as a Tampa Bay fan. I lived in the Tampa Bay area for 20 years and became a Rays fan when they started in 98. Cleveland will always be my #1 team and Tampa Bay #2. Both teams played great this year. Come back to Cleveland when you can.

Hope you enjoyed your time here in our amazing city. Unfortunately you went to the slowest concession stand in the entire park! Our season ticket seats are in the same section you were in and we learned very quickly to not go there unless you really didnt want to see any of the game! Better luck next year for TB!

Welcome to Northern Ohio. Sorry about the weather and parking prices. You should come to Cedar Point next summer. You would enjoy it there. It's not Disney but it is great park. You did get the one run right. But for the wrong team. #fortheland #heartofrockandroll

Irionic u said. Score would be 5-1 , Rays win, leaving cleveland with 1 run..... your second part of that was correct. Leaving cleveland with 1 run, but sadly for u, it's Rays leaving The Land with only 1 run in the series

Welcome to The Land Adam! First, let me apologize for that rude guy saying FU. We're better/nicer than that. That is the world's largest chandelier. I adore you videos, I watch every one but I have to say I'm sorry that you came all the way from Florida just to lose LOL. I don't care what the name says on the outside, it will always and forever be The Jake to us. We take our sports very seriously. During the season (whatever that may be) we live and die every pitch, every touchdown or every 3 pointer. I do hope you can take in a few more sights while you're in town. Stop in the Westside Market for some great food or pop over to the Christmas Story House again or Lakeview Cemetery (awesome). I'm here in Warren with the Dave Grohl Alley but I was born and raised in Cleveland and it will always be home. #ForTheLand #TheCLE #GuardTheLand #Game2 PS: If you get a Hebrew National Hot Dog or even the regular which are yummy, make sure to use the Bertman BallPark Mustard and NOT Stadium Mustard. There is a difference and Bertman's is the best ballpark mustard anywhere. Stadium mustard is for Browns football. Welcome and enjoy our city!
