I wanted to look for a cover song from Hans Zimmer, as both, Torsten and myself, we are long time fans of him. I found a song from the movie Chappie, which is not one of his most famous works, but holds his trademark as a composer. I personally really love the song, because it’s at the same time soothing and powerful. Zimmer always finds a way to move the listeners emotionally.
Our version of the song 'We Own This Sky' is a lot longer in length than the original, but I hope you will find it interesting. Torsten worked his magic in programming and as the song has no lyrics I could just flow with my voice. This song differs a lot from the rest of the songs on the album with over 80 vocal tracks we recorded for it!
We transformed the song into a chilling, goosebump guaranteed, intense journey with a steady rising suspense of the synths, only to culminate with wild guitars and vocals.
Ron 'Bumblefoot' Thal is the guest guitarist on this one. He did a superb job!! He coloured the whole track with beautiful guitar arrangements and blew me away basically with his talent. Totally genius and very musical performance from him. Thank you very much for taking part in our project Ron.

CREATION OF THE VISUALIZER
I am grateful for the fact that we got the permission from Antigua´s Tourism Ministry to use the old video for “We own this sky” visualizer. It was very interesting to see images for the first time from the past knowing how Antigua looks and feels nowadays.
It is important to learn where we come from to appreciate the present. Many of the things you see on the video, you can still find on the island. The traditions are vivid. The uniqueness of Antigua is real, and I personally really love that the island has truly remained more "laid back” than many of the other Caribbean islands are. It has been my hideaway for years and a place where I’ve always felt a strong positive energy.
Those artisans and hard workers forged what Antigua has become. They definitely own that sky.

That's everything I've ever dreamed about outlanders.
What footage explained is this people living their quite lives in the paradisiac island, isolated from the rest of the world, mattering their own simple and important matters, developing their culture and customs, and that some unique, beautiful and powerfull Goddess visits and cares for them without their knowing, and as an apparition. Splendid soundtrack!
This is exactly what I expected from Outlanders. Dream Electro with beautiful guitar arrangements sprinkled over. It is effective, beautiful, well constructed and completely transports you to another state of mind. Tarja uses her vocals cleverly, like another instrument... kind of sounds like the wind. I adore the synth, so whimsical. You guys aced with this one. Regarding the visualizer, Tarja seems to be as much of an ambassador for Finland as she has been for Antigua. A very fitting choice of visuals.
Tarja thank you for bringing this wonderful and very important project in my life to the world... 🖤⚘🥀🖤

What an interesting visualizer. I like this. I love that you get into these experiments and keep surprising us. Getting to know the history of the island is a great idea. I was wondering how you collected the video material. I hope that when you release the Outlanders album, you will continue with electronic projects. I still prefer rock, but electronic music suits you very well. I think I've developed a quite addiction to your voice over the past year.

I find this very interesting. I take it like a very hopeless end of a road horror movie soundtrack. Plus together with the visualizer is what I imagine the deep web intro looks like haha I loved it. Very bizarre.

Well it is coming from a movie soundtrack because is a cover from Hans Zimmer's movie theme. And visualizer it is bizarre but with class, showing island history, leit motiv of this album.
