I think he just meant that the show revolves around Claire (and it does, it's one of the main differences from the books), so Caitriona is technically the main lead. Of course, Sam and the others are playing their part well, that goes without saying!

@@gianellab.4953 Book or screen, it's the story of Jamie and Claire. Without each other, you have no show. I wish Sam would get the accolades and awards he deserves also.

@@JaimieJo I think those are two separate matters. The story of the series is of Claire, really (until now). It's the story of her time travelling and her dealing with it all. Her relationship with Jamie is just part of it. A bit part, but a part nonetheless. But I agree that Sam has had many hard scenes to film and has done them beautifully and it would be nice for him to get an award for it.

Sam and Claire deserves all the nominees, there are to be given. I love them both ❤❤, but it's clear to see, that not all "love" both of them.
