Who is your favorite Outlander cast member?

Tobias Menzies is an incredible actor and did not get promoted enough. Yeah, yeah, Jamie & Claire are Awesome(!) but the publicity push should have presented all 3 together. Without Black Jack Randall/Frank, both the past & the present would not have had a firm foundation. Bravo, Tobías, for an excellent dual performance. You are my eye candy.

Tobias is an incredible actor here! I love both his portrayal is Jack and Frank, they literally feel different even though they’re the same guy

Sam and Caitriona have MADE Outlander the success it is today!!! Their chemistry from the get go was amazing. That’s why most watch Outlander, to soak in the love affair of Sam and Caitriona!!!

Yes, the casting is great, but let us not forget another couple who were great, and I love them, that is Angus and Rupert.

This show is the best show I have ever seen and I'm 70 years old and yes I've a crush on Sam but not like you might think. Sam can show so much more emotion than I've seen in anyone. He is very believable in this part. I see him going so far. I love the whole cast and that's unusual for me. I started watching this show almost a year ago and I haven't quit yet. I put off watching Outlander for so long. When I finally did I can't quit watching it and readying the books. Love you guys. From Oklahoma.

They could not have found a better cast anywhere. They are perfect Sam Heugan and Catrona Baife. They make the show and I love them.

The most beautiful incredible show ive ever seen. Scotland is so beautiful and Jamie Fraser is the most handsome man on earth 😁

The casting is terrific. Everyone and everything is perfect. No one else could play any of the main characters/couple characters. Sam Heughan is more than perfect. He is stunningly handsome and an extremely talented, genuine, compassionate, kind, funny man. Without a doubt, the show would not be as famous, iconic, or binge worthy without Sam!

It was the story that got me. The steamy scenes and Sam Hueghen got me later. Ms. Heigle as Clair? I don't think so. The vibes would be so different.

Agree. Not so much a “fan” of Richard and Sophie. 🤭 I don’t really feel their chemistry. I think that was the only casting “mistake”. I low key wish they would of casted another “Roger”. I just imagined a “hunkier professor”. Haha. You know the kind of handsome that doesn’t know how handsome they are but remain humble and geeky. Ha!

I think that the team that has been cast is PERFECT with perfect chemistry! L O V E Sam Heughan! L O V E Caitroina Balfe!! And Duncan LaCroix is a wonderful Murtagh! I am secretly crushing on Murtagh! So sexy! My eyes have been opened to sexy Scottish men. I tbought Sean Connery was the bomb but, Sam is great as well. Also Graham McTavish! All I can say is fantastic casting! I'm smitten!

I understand that the role of Brianna is very difficult to play and that it is hard to find an actress that is tall and looks like Sam. I think Sophie is doing alright, even though she seems very modern. I just don't see the chemistry between bree and roger

Some couples are like that. I think bri is meant to be a sort of a tough girl who isn't going to exude a lot of chemistry between her and her loved one. But I do see what you're saying.

Sam Heughan is the most beautiful Man I have ever seen. I just love this show. The part of Jamie Fraser is ideal for him. Lorna from Sydney Australia. Well done guys.

Sam Hueghan is an amazing actor. He and catriona have such great chemistry and have made a great show. I only watched it for the first time a few weeks ago. My heart always aches for the Lord John character and I've always loved Tobias Menzies. I think he was amazing as Black Jack Randall. I don't understand why the actors haven't won more Awards. They certainly deserve it

Sam-crusher here. If there was a weak link, it would be Sophie. While she mastered the American accent o.k., she was too stiff and only became Brianna in season four. Love the series!

Beach3Girl we agree. Sophie was way too stiff in the beginning. You couldn’t read her emotions at all because her face was blank. She is getting better and growing on us a bit.

Yes I agree jaime and claire have perfect chemistry. Roger and Sophie are adorable. So glad they were chosen. Fergus and Marsalis are so cute together. Jaime and Claire just deserve each other and so do the other partners. Murtaugh, Ian and Lord John Grey are also key actors. This series is phenomenal. I go back and watch from the beginning. I enjoy the countryside of Scotland, costumes, scenes, props and of course actors. Hand down to author, producers, and crew. Waiting patiently for Episode 6 and Men in Kilts.

Hear Hear I keep binge watching while waiting for season 6

Hubby and i started watching Outlander a few weeks ago, now into the beginning of season 3, we try to watch 2 episodes a night. Brilliant show, brilliant acting. Thought they could have left Frank in a bit longer, another brilliant actor playing 2 parts was phenomenal. As for Jamie and Claire well the success of the show speaks a thousand words!

Yes I believe they did make the right choices..I like the way they all interact

Eww noo!! Katherine Heigl would have been such a diva and ruined it for everyone! i wouldn't have been able to see Claire I would have only seen Heigl. No thank you. She tanked Suits and she probably would have tanked Outlander. Thank GOD they went with Caitriona!

I can honestly say Tobias Menzies is the best actor I've ever seen in anything I mean the way he makes Blackjack turn into such an evil monster and how he had to make Frank react to finding out that his wife was pregnant with another man and all the let up to it just his face Express facial expressions I mean I was I was feeling every second with him. And you are so correct he does not get enough credit for his acting. I think he should have a wall of of oscars.

HaHa , I had to step back into reality and remind myself he is a great actor that played two totally different characters. It took me a while for me to realize Frank and Black Jack were the same persons. He sure did some good acting.

Yes! Casting directors really did a great job in casting them from the main casts to secondary actors/ cast members. I love the series & can't wait for season 6 & hoping this show will last long 'coz we still have Book 9! ^^ Btw, David Berry as LJG needs to cb, nobody can portray it really well other than him! He is a very important character in the lives of the Frasers in the books.

Am I the only one who thinks the chemistry between Roger and Brianna is practically non-existent?

I like Roger but I don’t think Brianna was cast properly. No chemistry and her lines are whiny, for lack of a better word. She comes across as immature.

Casting is perfect. I love all the actors, and i read all 8 novels before ever seeing the show. The show is amazing!

Everyone was crushing on Sam,yes he is a beautiful man but I am in love with Cait!!!!!

Sam is the best casting. He performs Jamie to perfection. Cait is very good, too, but then I don't have a crush on her. She is a very good actress and the chemistry with Sam is off the page.

I like their relationship and their chemistry from the very beginning that had nothing to do with sex. When she set his shoulder, when he said, “You don’t look that heavy…” Totally perfect

It may be shot on another continent but I believe a little bit of the famous Hollywood magic involved. They couldn’t have done better. The casting is perfect and Starz executives are brilliant for giving this the green light.

Outlander is the best show ever. No one could ever take the place of any of these people that play the main characters in the show. It was like this show was written with these people in mind to play the part. I hope Diana keeps writing these books forever and I hope Stars has enough sense to keep it on the air forever!

Before the beginning of making the Outlander series, from fans of the books there were a lot of pictures posted of who they pictured as Jamie. A number of the suggested actors could be pictured rather well as playing Jamie. Of course, Sam H. does a fine job, so we have the notion it couldn't have been any other!

I am totally in love with Jamie Fraser. Honestly, he has the most beautiful body I have ever seen. I am just saying what everyone else thinks. Sam was born for this show. It is embarrassing how much I love Jamie/Sam. The combination of character the writer has made with this character is outstanding. I will have to read the books which will probably ruin the series for me. My imagination is usually better than any production ,the difference between print and visual interpretation.Thank You to all involved.

I was a show watcher before I read the books; and having watched the show series first, well, those books just came to life! There is so much more in the books too, more characters, details, history.

This serie is so perfect. Can't wait to watch the sixth season.

The casting was superior with Jamie and Claire, Frank/BJR, Dougal, Colum, Murtagh, Rupert, Angus, Roger, Lord John Grey, but I question Brianna. I don't know who else was in the running, but I didn't (and don't - my second rewatch) like their chemistry. It's an AMAZING series...haven't read the books.......yet.

Same here. Second time through and tried to view her objectively and I still am struggling with her playing this role. I wish it was someone else more believable.

What is it with Sam's voice? It's like liquid. He's got loads of magnetism. When his hair is all wild he is unbeatable. But I can't get over his voice.

Sam and Cat were perfect and such a connection between them that made their parts truly believable. As for the others i think are just as good cannot see anyone else playing the parts. Only started watching Feb 2021 and binge watched the whole series. In 4 weeks I'd watched the series 5 times and still noticed things different each time. Long live Outlander cannot wait for series 6.

Each and every one of these actors has brought the Outlander book characters to life in my mind! Each does an excellent job of portraying their character. Hopefully this is finally the year for Emmy & Golden Globe awards! Why it has taken so long is beyond imagination! It is obviously the most watched & followed show, along with the actors!

Yess!! Sam is a much better Jamie than Liam Neeson even know Liam is a good actor..No, Liamis a great actor, but I couldn't see the chemistry being the same with Cait. Thank God they gave Kate the role as clear rather than the girl from Grey's Anatomy.. the Grey's Anatomy star is a good actress but I've read where other actors and directors have had problems with her attitude on set.. Kate is also thin and it makes her character more natural whereas the Grey's Anatomy star would have to have lost a lot of weight to be in this movie. The casters got it right and thank God they did add Muragh's character. Outlander would not have been the same without the man that played Jamie Fraser's Godfather!! What got me hooked on the movie wasn't the steamy hot sex scenes! I'm a World War II and Revolutionary War Fanatic, so the story beginning off with World War 2 got me. After the war, it was okay,,but then once Claire went through the stone, the action scenes hooked me. The humor grabbed me because she was talking out about the way Murtah stunk on the horseback ride to the cabin. When Claire was setting Jamie's dislocated arm, the humor was starting to get really riled up. " fetch me she says", said Angus. 😂😂😂 Later after Jamie got shot and Claire was assisting and sending to his wound,, Claire was cursing like a sailor and the men were just shocked! Never heard a woman talk like that before and it reminded me very much of my English mother.. My family has been in America for 300 years and I'm mostly Scottish and English and I do have a French great-grandmother on my dad's side. Lmao!! The humor in this movie reminded me so much of my family at time and I just couldn't quit laughing. The sad scenes were heartwarming and heartbreaking, yet the other parts kept me hooked on it because it was like watching my own family in action at times. My mother and her family were cursing like Sailors and raising all kinds of hell and then she could be ladylike as well. God and his family were so Scottish and even my great paternal grandparents on my grandfather's side are Duncan and they were Gaelic. Some of the words my grandparents and great-grandparents would use made me confused because I had no idea what they were talking about when I was a small child because my parents didn't speak that way. on top of being Scottish ancestry and my grandparents and great-grandparents were all that country people so I was clueless being born in the city. Now that I'm 50 years old and I grew to understand my elders Language by the time I was in my teens, I could understand much of what the Scottish individuals were saying,,and of course I speak French. watching this whole series was like watching a repeat of my sometimes dysfunctional family cussing and fighting. Baaaahaaaa!!!

Yep, Love it, I read all the books years ago and Now I'm Binge-watching all of it. What a beautiful love story has come out of all this,, I have to say That the Sex, Almost looks real and the sort of thing you would do if you were in love---- Yes, Love the show (Plus---- all those people who gave this a thumbs down I believe are all sheep shaggers

I absolutely agree: all the main characters are completely perfect! But: yet, Frank Randall is officially no longer on the show, please bring him back, if even in flashbacks.... Tobias Menzies fitted so well, even he had to play the very mean character.

Sam is a great actor, so he made it easy for all of us to fall in love with the man he comes as Jamie. Jamie, is vulnerable and strong, and he can verbalize his feelings, and he expresses his emotions beautifully. This is the character that the writer Diana G created. I also adore Lord John. His dialog, and how he expresses himself are sexy, and he is gorgeous. All the male actors come across as unbelievable super men; Murtagh, Roger, Collum, Mac Dougal, even Jo's head of Home Master, is wonderful. They all took their roles, and stepped into their part, and became their characters.

They were perfect casting!

All the men of Outlander are delectable for an assortment of reasons. Graham should have been included here. He is another drool provoking hunk! Oh, and David! Lordy!

I wouldn’t change any of the actors except for Sophie (Bree). I don’t dislike her or her work but I have never felt the chemistry between her and Roger. Yes! Total crush on Jamie but also on the most beautiful man I’ve ever seen - Lord John Grey!! Eeeeeeow!!

I think the producers I know exactly who to pick for the saints I think they did a great job I wouldn't want it no other way

They are all irreplaceable oh my goodness SOOOOOOO GOOOD I LIVE OUTLANDER!!!!!

Total crush on Sam, like millions of others! After my lockdown of not being able to travel out of China, I’m booking a trip to Scotland!

4:74 Tobias Menzies is perfect as Frank & Jack Randall. I'm particularly impressed by his portrait of slick, sleazy, evil and self-righteous Black Jack Randall. No one could have nailed that role better than him! Thank God they didn't cast Kathrine Heigl as Claire, no one could be more perfect for the role as Caitriona Balfe! Same goes for Sam Heughan as Jaime fraser. They had good chemistry off camera once they met and it shows on the screen. They're so perfect for each other that I would love to hear if they were a couple in real life. Won't that be sweet?

I want to see Sam’s audition! 😊

THE OUTLANDER SERIES IS WONDERFUL AND THE ACTORS ARE AWESOME BUT IT IS THE AUTHOR AND HER INCREDIBLE BOOKS. SHE INCORPORATED AN UNBELIEVABLE NUMBER OF ACTUAL HISTORICAL FACTS of not only the time periods, living conditions but she also fleshed out little known actual people. I am only one of many who read and reread her wonderful books as I waited for the next one. WHAT A WRITER !

In the UK we get it on Amazon Prime, I’m rewatching it ALL again!

After Outlander is finished will we be able to go through the headquarters north of Glasgow to tour or will it all be struck?

No denying the Jamie and Claire's affection for each other improves the romance.

One of the things i have said to friends when talking about this show is how all the actors are perfect for the characters. The casting people do a very good job.

I love this show! Please keep it going and don’t stop!

Sam and Catriona make the show and other cast members are also great choices. Don’t think show would be as popular if anyone else had been chosen. Their chemistry just comes across as very strong, Tobias also was great to be cast.

Like everyone else, everyone on Outlander becomes part of my family. I get up in the morning and wonder what they are doing today. I fell, and hoped one of them would call to see how I was doing. Damn damn damn, no one called.

There has to be a lot of pressure on the casting department, because pretty much everything is hanging on the 2 lead characters... With that in mind... 1) Sam and Caitriona are awesome together, and have been from day 1. 100% match there, pretty much why I am glued to the screen, and have re-watched Outlander 6 times :-) 2) I really like Richard, he is handsome, smart, funny and oh, so Scottish :-) Not so sure about Sophie, I've seen her in interviews and she is very interesting and smart and beautiful, so now by Season 5 I must admit that she's grown on me :-) 60 / 40%, I'd say 3) Cesar and Lauren are perfect together, so 100% there... Love them both, they are great and sweet together as Fergus and Marsali :-) 4) Tobias Menzies, deserves 200% all on his own merit, he is absolutely incredible, I absolutely hated him as Jack and liked him as Frank... He is very charming in interviews and so well spoken, may be he should help Sophie with her lines :-) ❤️ Love Outlander and all the wonderful Scottish gentlemen, Murtagh, Dougall, Colom, Angus and Rupert, Willy, all of them ❤️

Thumbs down for Bree and Roger...sorry. Fergus and Marsali was much better 👍

Absolutely Bree can not hold this show together better have a Indian kidnapping. And find a new actress for roger. I like him. A big miss match. And rewrit her hateful character
