Outlander cast great answers in interviews

Ойын-сауық

I put together some great answers during interviews the cast of Outlander and the producers, gave while promoting the show. Ive watched many interviews and these are my favourite answers. I agree with their opinion and thought they gave such clever answers. I can see they know what they are talking about and they do their homework. We have such a great cast for Outlander and a lot of good people working behind the cameras to make such a great tv show. I had to share these because i think its worth to watch! It got my atention how involved they are with the show.

Caitriona gave an excellent answer regarding to the sex question, they're professional actors not soft porn actors

Sam's question about why women are so attracted to him. Most women will say his looks, but that is exterior. I think it's his kind heart, his bravery , and his consideration for people who find themselves in trouble , and he can help. Now if he would only listen less to Claire when she interferes in things, he'd get in far less trouble himself!

I didnt find jamie attractive when the first time i saw him tho... i started to find him attractive when I found him such a good listener one and the more I watched the series, apart other reasons (his kindness and so on) he was actually so open minded. That whats make him so attractive for me.

Love the way he speaks! Is it even MORE scottish IRL than in the show? If so - why would you make it «less scottish» on screen?

It depends on which part of Scotland his character is from. Because Sam is also Scottish but when you hear him in interviews his accent is not "that" Scottish and he said it's because he's from the lowest (geography) Scotland and his accent is different. Maybe that's why

Unni Davidsen back in the 1700’s the Scottish accent would have been much stronger , and varied, and they would have spoken Gaelic too, so Sam is doing the right thing, to play the part as it was written.

Irl, Richard is from Glasgow and people from Glasgow have, what you call, "MORE Scottish" accents than people from other areas. In the show, Roger is from Inverness, quite a ways North of Glasgow, and the accent there would be considerably different. As with all the actors, they've tried to make the accents of the characters as close to the region they're from. Hence, Sam Heughan sounds "less" Scottish than Jamie, and Richard Rankin sounds "more" Scottish than Roger to some people.

Roger is good but omg Jamie is a hunk ...all the cast is perfect in there rolls you can't say any are not just right they have been picked with a lot of care and thought and for not being funny with answers you need to know the language to understand so how are you getting through the show if this is a problem

When I got to Bree and Roger in the book, it felt sort of voyeuristic reading about Bree. (It didn’t help that I saw my daughter, a tall and rather dynamic redhead, also married, in the Bree character, even now. Weird, a bit, from a mom point of view. Though, I could certainly see her hunting with Jamie...

Maybe not. I think we are not seeing so many sex scenes as before cause there is no "room" for it. The first two seasons were more about them (specially the first one) and the third had scenes too, but in this season there are more important characters and storylines (bree and roger) and they are not adding "unnecessary" sex to the mix. I kinda miss it, but I don't think is her fault (or anyone's )

It’s all about the love and tenderness that woman are lacking in today’s relationship we yearn to be held up and respected by our husband and want that total commitment and loved unconditionally, that’s what I see as so attractive.

Why on earth they put them in those danged uncomfortable stools, so awkward. I like Brianna and Roger, it's best not to be too one-sided in a long story like this, we need to see the stories of everyone involved to round everything out.

I can't stand Briana. Her self important arrogant entitled attitude is very off putting. She does not communicate well, and she demands honesty with Claire, and asks Claire to withhold things from Jamie. That is crap. I realize she is young , but she marches into a century that is 200 years earlier, and acts like a spoiled brat, rather than an empowered female.

@@janetsbridgeofsighs8974 No, I am not judgmental, I am observing the facts. The casting of the actor has nothing to do with her behavior. She is young true, but not all 18 year olds act entitled and demanding of others. Briana was well aware of the decisions that she was making, and while she had grief for the father that raised her, her anger at Jamie was misplased. I still stand behind what I said. , Her keeping secrets had nothing to do with the the character of Jamie. What Jamie did was terrible, he did not deserve her wrath.

If Jack Randall wasn't the downfall, I SERIOUSLY doubt Brianna will be. Her character is very complicated on a more intellectual level. Really study her character; I can't think of anyone else who could do it justice.
